Turns out someone else owned the truck when it crossed the border 6 weeks ago and the murderer was an US army vet, born and raised in Texas. You will never completely prevent it, but you can minimise it in the most built up areas fairly easily. The guy who did it had a gun yes but more a crazy fuck with his vehicle which caused everything. Agree some gun related laws need to be put in place mind. I would agree with that for the most part.Yes there are still a good part of the population that say no on taking away of any guns,but I do think it has went down some. However,as you mention, the NRA have their hands in the right pockets as it were, and I see no way anything will be straightforward as long as they are involved. I have no personal issue with someone perhaps have a carry permit for a pistol and/or shotgun.Especially the Shotgun if they hunt for food. The issue is the stockpiling of weapons as it were and how hard-core Americans are about their right to bear arms.
