Platinum Club v Bar 1892 v Standard ticket

I'm coming up back from down south for Xmas and I'm going to buy a ticket for the Stoke game.

I was thinking I may treat myself to a better ticket than normal.

What do you get from Platinum Club and Bar 1892 tickets that you don't from a standard ticket? And are the worth it?

Both are canny nice.

Generally you'll enjoy a better view - the Platinum has padded seats. You get a free match program, there's no queue for the bar/toilets, you can order drinks for half time.

There's none of that singing nonsense/atmosphere that the rest of the ground gets.

I used to have a season ticket for 1892 and regularly got freebies for platinum.

Much prefer 1892 and always thought platinum a bit claustraphobic (sp)

Really depends how much time you are spending in the ground before and after. Nice being able to get a pint after the game while the rabble make their way home ;)

Surely that's the wrong way round? 1892 is really thin and rammed from memory, plus harder to get served, worse seats, worse view. I imagine that's why it's cheaper.

The main area is canny and separated from the bar area and then you also have the long thin area you refer to, which I quite like as it doesnt get crowded and each table has a pretty good view of a telly. It always feels more open to me.

Additionally, I think you get a better clientele in 1892. Working class made good or pushing the boat out where as platinum is full of solicitors and their ilk. :)
