The mother in law puts out an impressive board with the grapes and crackers and that which i demolish with no clue as to which is which.

The grapes are the round green ones, the crackers are the dry flat ones. HTH.

Don't know why, but this thread reminds me of a restaurant we went to a couple of years ago. Was superb and well to do. Anyway, after a lovely starter Garcon gave me a bowl of some kind of lemon ice stuff. I told him that I hadn't had my main course yet but he couldn't understand me. The Wife then explained to me what a lemon sorbet was and what it was supposed to do.

My cheese board yesterday consisted of.

Durham Morden Blue --- Soft blue cheese served with quince jelly

Northumberland Elsdon --- Goats cheese served with Truffel honey

Admiral Collingwood --- This cheese is moulded and washed in Newcastle brown ale as it matures!!! served with chutney.

Northumberland Redesdale --- Sheeps cheese served with Fig salami.

All were truly superb. :)

Anything decent like

Dolcelatte is kind of like Gorgonzola, if that is what you were asking. Rich, blue-veined, soft, quite creamy/absolutely lush. Definitely should get some. Also, that fig chutney from tesco's is really good as well.
