Renton 21294
I see Hammond was in full CT mode talking about fixing "labour's" recession. Unchallenged by the media, needless to say. The state of our politics man.
NJS 4371
He also called PFI labour's legacy - I think it was wrong but he didn't mention major started it all and Osborne signed off a deal bigger than all the labour ones combined.

Renton 21294
It was a typical Tory pre-election budget, a bung to the well off. I'm benefiting quite a bit. I feel sorry for CT though, the poorest 10% hardly benefit at all.

I am happy to be paying more tax however to pay for the NHS etc....

ewerk 30259
31% of the population refuse to believe that no deal will lead to less money for government spending. 21% believe it but think it's a price worth paying. We've got the government we deserve.
Christmas Tree 4686
Don’t know if she’s a household name in lefty circles, but I’ve been quite impressed by Grace Blakeley in a number of media appearances this week. She certainly seems to know her onions and manages to deliver her views in a very effective manner. People like her that need to be making their way into frontline politics. Christmas Tree 4686
Part of the problem with politics on all sides is that the current system seems to allow some very thick people to make it to Parliament.
