But you and Red Ed predicted a million less jobs, we've got a million and a half more!

The only tedious thing btw is some of you whinging like spoilt bairns after every bit of good news. ;)

What you're failing to see is that four out of five of those new jobs are women working part-time. It isn't the great recovery that you're making it out to be.

No comment on the huge rise in part time jobs?

"The employment rate among women hit 67.2%, the highest since 1971, according to official data released on Wednesday which showed women now account for 46% of the UK workforce.

The latest rise was driven by an increase in the number of women working full time, which was up by 122,000, to 8.1 million, over the past three months.

The number with part-time jobs fell, by 28,000, to 5.9 million, while the number of men in both full-time and part-time work rose".

In the last five years since the financial crash the number of men in work has remained almost unchanged, but 280,000 who were in full-time jobs have been forced to cut their hours.

At the same time four out of five new jobs in the whole economy have been taken by women working fewer than 25 hours.

I wonder how many men put out of work are now back at work under the same kind of terms and conditions they left with at similar jobs or even the same workplace? It's the oldest trick in the book and was illegal but if companies are smart they can get round this.

I remember when CT joined, he was waxing lyrical about the money he was pulling in on the taxi's. Recommending it to anyone else looking for work as a great way to earn a living. I guess more people were willing to pay for taxi's under Labour.

Now he's in poverty and getting Direct Debits refused and he thinks it's a good thing.

How's he doing with being a Landlord? Is he still doing that?

So because someone earns more than someone else that makes them less than qualified to give an opinion?

No.

CT claims to have been doing very well for himself under Labour. Now he clainms to be on the poverty line. But despite personal experience he argues against the evidence in his own life when discussing the merits of either party in power.

Looking back at that thread, CT, by his own figures, was claiming to be 49k a year, with an earning rate of 25 quid an hour (after expenses as well). So nigh on 50k for a 3 day week back in 2008, which would be closer to 60k now taking into account inflation. And of course with little tax to pay, a fact he also alluded to.

And yet he's now forced to take trips to Venice on the poverty line. I'm sorry, if you're going to make ridiculous claims on the internet you have to be prepared to look ridiculous. :D

he's one of the silliest posters i've ever come across on here. not twisted and deranged like LM, just ridiculous.

he actually comes across as quite a nice lad in some ways. for a troll, i like the way he doesn't take himself too seriously and can laugh at himself when we all poke fun at him.

but i doubt he even agrees with half the shite he posts. he must do, he contradicts himself so often.

Your back to your old habit of twisting stuff to suit your argument ;)

I said it was good for anyone facing redundancy with little alternatives and bills to pay. I also gave some examples of what was possible to earn and still is today.

I think we can all pretty much agree what my views are with regard to being classed below the poverty line.
