There was that time when Johnson turned up looking disheveled and hungover and god knows what else on Remembrance Sunday. Then the BBC used footage from (iirc?) the previous year on subsequent news reports covering it. Then just waved it away with “some stock footage is often used” or similar rather than any apology. You forget about loads of shit because they do it so often. Also, Farage isn’t even standing as a candidate but gets more coverage than any of the other small parties put together

That Johnson cenotaph thing was 100% a favour getting called in by friends in the right places. It absolutely stunk to high heaven. Would similar 'stock footage' have been shown for Miliband, Corbyn or Foot? (We know the answer).

One of my kids is on the SEN register because they missed out on two thirds of the reception year due to covid and they never caught up. Partially because it took the school 18 months to realise there were so many kids falling behind, due to a lack of teachers and teaching assistants because of tory budget cuts. Hamish should jump out of a third story building, ringpiece first, onto a cactus if he thinks a thank you is in order, the posh cunt.

My lass reckons they've still got kids coming through their school now who have social skills that are completely off due to this vital period in their development which was missed.

Spot on. The amount of mental health problems covid caused school kids is off the scale, many kids never went back. And they should thank the conservatives for this?

I also can't stand the way Sunak talks about Furlough, as if the UK were unique in this and also as if it was his own money. The administration of it was also corrupt. From a personal point of view, I don't know anyone who benefitted from it anyway. Most people in professional jobs just ended up working from home with the added stress of trying to teach their kids at home. Public sector workers were made to go in and then were completely shat on by the government. Ans of course the lockdowns were much longer than they needed to be because of Johnson's utter failure to grasp the science.

I'd say she's bang on tbh. I think when you look at 8-10 year olds now compared to pre-covid they are stunted socially. They all seem to have a maturity a few years below their age bracket because they've missed that formative time at school and instead spent months on youtube getting an inexplicable american accent.
