Sunak would be mad to accept but this is probably damaging for him anyway cos of Farage's framing.

It's by no means the most important issue for 80% of voters. They've got tunnel vision on this like.

Farage calling Sunak out throughout the campaign is the last thing he needs though, whilst he's desperately trying to claw back some of the lost Reform vote.

The de facto in laws are canny enough but they’re a bit socially conservative, shall we say? Even they think it’s a terrible idea and are dead against it

Also, as I think Renton may have previously mentioned, the disdain this government and their party have for young people is off the scale. Is this policy supposed to appeal to anyone bar reform voters who hate kids? They seem to be doubling down on it though so it’s all good if it makes their disastrous polling even worse

Is it the equivalent of a manager bringing a defender on at 4-0 down at HT to prevent an 8-0 rather than a 6-0? Damage limitation for a certain defeat?

You also have to love someone like Mercer talking about the kids left behind without any joining of the dots in relation to 14 years of Tory rule

Same kind of people that would high five if some poor refugees drowned in the channel. About three teeth between them, fewer brain cells, never worked a day in their life (because of the immu'gints) but support tory because their bigotry matches.

Wipe dopes like these out IMO - That'll sort out the NHS waiting lists.

He’s definitely trying to lose this, like. I’m not a conspiratorial nut in the slightest but fucking hell, there’s not this much incompetence to go around. Hopefully he burns the party to the ground with him
