Gemmill 44495
https://iandunt.substack.com/p/byelection-slaughter-yeah-so-it-turns Dunt on last night is a decent read. Nice intro too:
Renton 21393
Good old Dunty certainly has a way with words. OGWN is not the same without him.
Gemmill 44495
Good to hear that there's some pressure internally to just have the election now before "things get even worse". I don't think it'll make any difference unfortunately, I'm just desperate to get it over with now.

Yes please. JRM and Sunak hate each other. At this point I think the former is just campaigning for his seat at the next election. Although he looks set to lose that too. And playing to GBeebies twats as well. Actually when I was looking, one the more prominent Tories looking likely to remain in parliament is Truss. Apart from that leading me to assume Norfolk must be stuffed to the gills with absolute cunts. It also made me think she’ll probably make the shadow cabinet. Given her profile and the lack of options. I fucking hope so as she’ll continue to be a disaster. She’s thick as pig’s shit

I did wonder if they might just say fuck it and go for them for a GE. Sunak’s like a toxic little drip. Gemmill 44495
ARGH! Get this lot out man. This lad does relatively well at challenging Holden but why do they just let them talk endlessly ffs. This clip is 3 minutes long and easily 90% of it is just Holden not answering the question that's been put to them. I know it's frowned upon but I would absolutely be turning Holden down here and telling him he can either answer the question about CCHQ spreading misinformation, or he can hang up the phone. You can't play by the rules with these people anymore. They don't have rules. Edited February 16 by Gemmill

Somehow managing to gradually corrode away their support even more which each shitty, insincere sound bite Don't think it's impossible a leadership bid could force his hand into an early GE. I doubt he would lose a VoNC but it massively damages his credibility anyway. In normal circumstances. Which we're clearly not in. I've been saying since Truss, the tories will be annihilated next GE imo. You can see why Starmer is being ultra-cautious, the amount of shit the tories and client media (including BBC) are flinging at him. I expect he will produce a good manifesto though, which will add to Labour's position. I think we are looking at worse than '97 for the tories, possibly reduced to double figures. The best bit is, as you allude to, the ones that will survive the purge are the fruit cakes. So they'll have to choose a fruitcake as their shadow leader. It could be Badenoch, it could even be Truss again. I think their best bet would be Mordaunt, but I'm not sure she'll survive and she is too woke for the headbangers. And a boring one to boot. He's not convivning anyone with this ridiculous non-response. The man is only there because his opponent was Pidcock. He's out on his arse this year and into obscurity. Also, it shows just how low the tory party have fallen in terms of quality this prick can become chairman. They're fucked man.

Alex 34912
4 minutes ago, Gemmill said: This robot. Apart from it not showing that, governments pretty much always lose elections. Even in 97 that was the case. Floating voters don’t say to themselves “things are good but the opposition has better policies”. Even the turnout was standard for by-elections. And whilst by-elections are not always great indicators for a general election, we’re well into the final year before another GE. There are literally no positives from a government POV. Also, as you point out, Sunak is just repeating himself at this point

Alex 34912
Aye. I think they’ll have used opinion polls, like you say, for the other 3 nations and then extrapolated the by election result / swing for England as a whole. And, as Renton points out, it even says it’s just for fun
Alex 34912
That said, the actual polling by constituency suggests an annihilation (although not on that scale). And btw, that’s on the back of boundary changes that were supposed to help the Tories Edited February 17 by Alex
