Wouldn’t surprise me if he’d had some masterplan where his constituency home was interest only to reduce the amount of outgoings or sone such. That said I’m not even a so-called accountant. Renton 22082
I mean, she bangs on about sovereignty, and says what a success the Windsor framework is. Putting a border through our country, that kind of sovreignty? Thick as whale spunk. She also mention the CPTPP. This is forecast, by the government, in the long run (several decades), to boost our economy by.... drum roll..... 0.04% of GDP It's unbearable these charlatans are clinging on to power.

We wouldn't be in this mess if they'd just let Shipman carry on, he was offering assisted (and surprising) dying to pensioners before it was cool. On another note, it's good to see the Lib Dems are pretty consistently shit across the board .. No doubt they'll win a decent chunk of the more centrist tory voters come GL. Renton 22082
The Newsagents and Alex from OGWN think another tory leadership bid is probable before the GE. I really hope so. It's not Sunak that's unpopular, weasley cunt that he is, it's more the party itself. They try to put another PM in - and I can't think of a single good choice - then I just don't think the electorate would accept that and all I can see is complete annihilation for them.

Could they be hoping for a Trumpish bounce by bringing Boris back? Because I think our thickos are slightly less thick than the yank thickos so I don't think it'll work. Renton 22082
2 hours ago, ewerk said: Another reason to bring in assisted dying. I wonder how this would compare with say 20 years ago? Traditionally people have always drifted to the right as they have acquired capital and sought to protect it. But now, millenial generations onwards, people are taxed so much more and have difficulty getting on the property ladder etc, so this movement just isn't happening any more. Factor in what a complete disaster the tories have been for business and why would anyone of working age vote for them? I don't really get why the over 70s are so far right either. Yes, they have wealth which they wrongly perceive the tories will protect, but they are also major users of the NHS and social care which are in tatters. Otoh, they've done well out of state pensions and for some reason they are all massive racists (my mum included unfortunately).

He still wouldn't win a GE and I couldn't think of a worse choice for leader of the opposition - for him financially too - so it's a non-starter imo.

Canada has been taking the Shipman approach and running... Google 'canada leading euthanasia', it's not a conspiracy. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-64004329 Obviously you said it as a joke - but the horrible reality is that death is being reccomended to the elderly in favor of simple medical procedures. You see, I found that an interesting article - so thanks for that - but your interpretation of it, "being reccomended to the elderly in favor of simple medical procedures" was not representative of what was written in it at all. That's before we even mention the crassness of comparing voluntary euthanasia with a psychopathic mass murderer. That's the problem with you conspiracy nuts, you are completely incapable of objective thought, and because of this, you are easily manipulated. Ironically, you really are the sheeple.
