I heard a bit of his farewell speech on 5 Live earlier and they were scrambling to figure out his reference to Cincinnatus returning to his plough and eventually figured out it a Roman reference to a farmer who became absolute dictator and then after victory in 16 days returned to his farming. What they failed to explain was that Cincinnatus returned for a second dictatorship. This is exactly the sort of classical bullshit Johnson likes to come out with and I think reveals his true intentions.

He also said that he’d saved Ukraine single handed, which has a small element of truth, but is undermined somewhat by his assertion in 2014 that the annexation of Crimea by Russia was the fault of the EU
