Looking at it , even with help, office wallers will be asked to work from home, care homes, hospitals and schools will partially or wholly close, as will factories etc. Retail too. It’s going to be beyond brutal due to no price cap for commercial & industrial tariffs

It costs me £20 round trip to get to the office, so it would be cheaper for me to stay home and run the heating for the full working day (which I won't do), so I'll be happy to be told to stop home.

It's actually only 47% of eligible voters.

In other words, 53% of the electorate didn't want her. I do wonder how many of the 18% were wanting a third name on the ballot paper.

Thank god we got to see the back of Patel at least. May she never be anywhere near the front benches ever again.

She'll be back once Johnson becomes Conservative leader again.

Johnson can't become PM again surely?

Put it this way, if you think that Truss becoming PM is the nadir of British politics I’d suggest you prepare to lower your sights.

Braverman as Foreign Secretary.

Fuck me. This is going to be a pantomime.

Thats obviously why the other cunt hand her notice in today. The problem with Truss is that she isn’t going to want anyone in cabinet more intelligent than her. And that’s a very fucking low bar to crawl under.

The Tories aren't getting back into power though once Truss calls this GE, whether now or in 2 years.

I'm perhaps old and jaded, but I've said this 3 times in the past 25 years... They have the media sewn up and marketing is all powerful nowadays.

It's not working this time. Once ordinary people are visibly affected by their policies, it's game over. I find the Mail's desperate headlines more amusing than anything else nowadays.
