They haven’t said who it is (conveniently), he doesn’t actually need to isolate (so he can do whatever he pleases) but he can cancel things like his trip to Lancashire, planned for today, say he’s ‘following the guidelines’ by limiting contacts or some other vague bollocks. All so he doesn’t look like the bumbling tit when asked awkward questions. I also think there’s more (possibly a lot more to come). It’s all a legacy of his filling his cabinet and other ministerial posts with people loyal over people with talent. Apart from the lack of talent (arguably a problem across his party but that’s a different matter) it creates another problem. You might think you’re getting loyalty but what you’re actually getting is blind ambition. That is, people who’ll go along with any old shit for a promotion. What then happens is they will betray you as soon as it becomes convenient for their careers.
