The development of the surrounding area has the potential to make the stadium, and therefore the club more commercially viable. I’m all for urban regeneration, but not sure this one should be specifically called out by the government. Politics and sport need to be a carefully managed area. It depends what 'surrounding area' they mean. If its within the red line boundary of the club, then Sir Wankpot will pay for it. If its outside then he wont.
