17,561 people looked at their ballot paper last year and thought "yep, she's the one I want representing me!".

A country with a high proportion of absolute fucking idiots, wankers and freaks.

Anyone else reading that Reeves is going to make a bunch of growth plan announcements tomorrow which supposedly includes the redevelopment of Old Trafford?

Apparently Ratcliffe is paying for the ground and the taxpayers are paying to regenerate the surrounding area. Ratcliffe must have his hooks into the government

As long as they aren't paying a penny towards the tax-dodging Brexiters new stadium then I don't see what the problem is?

Aye me neither. There's huge parts of this country in need of redevelopment. They've got to do it somewhere. Obviously I'd rather it was in Newcastle.

Depends. The development of the surrounding area has the potential to make the stadium, and therefore the club more commercially viable.

I’m all for urban regeneration, but not sure this one should be specifically called out by the government. Politics and sport need to be a carefully managed area.

It depends what 'surrounding area' they mean.  If its within the red line boundary of the club, then Sir Wankpot will pay for it.  If its outside then he wont.

Mate is listening to the Reeve speech and telling me how hard a listen it is.  I told him to turn it off then.  His reply 'Oh shall I go live in a cave and bury my head in the sand then'  Aye if it makes you happy

This an enactment of Gemmill and me?

Oh the irony of you daring to tell anyone to switch off media that they don’t like.

She's going to use government money to move three freight rail terminals to enable to redevelopment of OT. I look forward to similar funding to move the metro line and SJ station when we come to redevelop the ground.
