Rosco 759
This countries fucked......in 10/15 years time the supposed 40,0000 crossings will be tiny compared to what will be arriving, does anybody actually believe the government figures and do they take into account all UK ports an entry means i.e. boat/lorry etc. In 20 years todays youngster's will be wondering why they cant get/afford a house/get a school place for kids/doctors/hospital appointments etc.......sorry if this makes me sound like an old bigot. Likewise the opinion that 80% are genuine is laughable more likely about 40% especially when 2% of Albanian men under 40 have crossed so far at the end of the day once people step of a boat on south coast they are here for good because nobody will be deported. Rant over......and breathe

Renton 21426
Just now, Rosco said: On the south east coast the situation is critical Yes, but where are your figures these asylum seekers are bogus? This is from HMG: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/immigration-statistics-year-ending-december-2021/how-many-people-do-we-grant-asylum-or-protection-to The UK offered protection, in the form of asylum, humanitarian protection, alternative forms of leave and resettlement, to 14,734 people (including dependants) in 2021. Of these: 81% were granted refugee status following an asylum application (‘asylum’) 6% were granted humanitarian protection 2% were granted alternative forms of leave (such as discretionary leave, UASC leave) 11% were granted refugee status through resettlement schemes Additionally, 6,134 partners and children of refugees living in the UK were granted entry to the UK through family reunion visas, 28% more than the previous year. Howmanheyman 32883
I heard two fitters at work say they voted Brexit around the night of the vote because the NHS was being overwhelmed by refugees. Both on Facebook and it wasn't just those two that voted for it, Facebook is fucking rife at my place. Now we know how people were targeted with shite like this it doesn't surprise me at all it was a narrow victory for leave. The NHS is being fucked over by the government, pure and simple.

Dr Gloom 21868
It’s laughable. We face a recruitment crisis in this country. We need more migrant labour, not less. Migrant workers underpin the economy and prevent some industries from going under. We had a soft fruit industry thanks to free movement. We won’t have one for much longer unless things change quickly. And anyone who thinks immigration is a problem now is in for a big surprise in the next decade or two when the climate refugees start rolling in.

Yeah and don’t forget that official government figures are bollocks and emotive manipulative reporting in the Daily Mail is gospel 👍 The government are going to do the square root of fuck all about immigration, it’s a “necessary evil” to keep the gullible minority scared fuckin witless . Braverman is the useful idiot to deliver this, and the ERG/IEA mob have a placeman at the top of the cabinet table as a consolation prize after their chief goons lasted 10 minutes in charge

As already stated, this is already the case in many places. Is it the fault of immigrants? Or is it the fault of governments failing to plan and spend. If we want better public services we need to grow the economy. If we want to grow the economy we need more people. If we want more people we need immigration. Immigrants aren't coming over here on the take. Generally (and I'm not talking about asylum seekers) they come to work and to pay taxes. They're a net contributor to the economy and if you cut that off then you're going to be a country in decline.

ewerk 30393
Jonathan Gullis has been a MP for less than three years and his entire Wikipedia entry is like an instruction manual in how to be a cunt. Quote Gullis was elected as a Conservative councillor in the Shipston ward of Stratford-upon-Avon in May 2011, until he resigned in October 2012 after starting a teaching job in London.[6] Gullis came in for criticism, resigning three hours too late for a by-election to coincide with the PCC election on 15 November, an error costing in excess of £5,000 when the by-election was held two weeks later. Gullis, annoyed at his treatment by the local Conservative party, urged locals to vote for the Labour candidate, Jeff Kenner.[7] Gullis is a member of the European Research Group.[8] He stood in Washington and Sunderland West at the 2017 general election, but lost to incumbent Labour MP Sharon Hodgson.[9] Gullis was elected as the MP for Stoke-on-Trent North at the 2019 general election, unseating Labour's Ruth Smeeth and becoming the first Conservative to represent the constituency.[2] At the time of his election, Gullis was employed as a school teacher and head of year at Fairfax Academy in Sutton Coldfield, and served as the school's trade union representative.[10][11] On 30 April 2020, Gullis was criticised by Piers Morgan after he complained of the media's 'sick obsession' with the number of deaths during the coronavirus pandemic. Gullis was responding to a tweet by radio presenter James O'Brien. Gullis described comparisons with the number of deaths in other countries as 'lazy' in a now deleted tweet. He later apologised for his 'poor choice of words'.[12] He has since closed his Twitter account.[13] In June 2020, Gullis introduced a Ten Minute Rule bill which would introduce custodial sentences of up to 14 years for those who desecrate war memorials.[14] After the first reading the bill was withdrawn and did not proceed to become law.[15] In October 2020, after voting against a Labour Party Opposition Day Motion to extend free school meals until Easter 2021, Gullis said that he would not address a "baying mob" in response to an alleged planned protest during his visit to a church foodbank. He also cited COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings.[16] In October 2020, Gullis stated on his Facebook page that research by the National Maritime Museum into the Royal Navy's links to slavery was "leftwing ideological nonsense".[17] In November 2020, following an interim report on the connections between colonialism and properties now in the care of the National Trust, including links with historic slavery, Gullis was among the signatories of a letter to The Telegraph from the "Common Sense Group" of Conservative Parliamentarians. The letter accused the National Trust of being "coloured by cultural Marxist dogma, colloquially known as the 'woke agenda'".[18] On 23 February 2021, Gullis was prevented by the Deputy Speaker from taking part in a debate in the House of Commons from home for being inappropriately dressed. Gullis changed into a suit, and was then allowed to participate.[19] In May 2021, the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards ordered Gullis to return £253.78 and apologise after breaking parliamentary rules by using "pre-paid House-provided stationery in a way that was contrary to the published rules which put the member in breach of the requirements of paragraph 16 of the code of conduct for members." Guillis confirmed this, returned the money, and apologised.[20][21][22] In October 2021, Gullis suggested at a fringe meeting during the Conservative Party conference that people using the term "white privilege" should be reported to the Home Office as extremists and that teachers found criticising the Conservative Party should be sacked.[23][24][25] Gullis has praised schemes for getting disabled people into work. He said there were significant "mental health benefits and physical health benefits" when people with Down syndrome are in work – and that it also saved the state money. He cited a video he saw about an American man with Down syndrome who had worked at McDonald's "for 30 years and had a happy life".[26] Gullis has described Black Lives Matter as "a Marxist organisation that wants to abolish the nuclear family and defund the police".[27] In January 2022 Gullis drew attention due to his lack of a face covering and "bellowing with his mouth wide open and appearing to rock backwards and forwards" in the Commons during Prime Minister's Questions, following a statement from the Leader of the SNP group, Ian Blackford, that implied over a million people had been plunged into poverty as a result of Conservative party policy.[28][29] After Gullis' behaviour in the Commons went viral, the Speaker of the House Lindsay Hoyle was interviewed by The Times where he said he wanted members to stop "screaming and shouting" in the chamber.[30] In May 2022, regarding Home Office deportation flights, Gullis said that his constituents were "flabbergasted that the woke, wet and wobbly lot opposite are on the side of their lefty woke warriors, who are making sure these rapists and paedophiles remain in this United Kingdom, rather than standing up for the British people and their safety."[31] He resigned as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland on 5 July 2022 in the aftermath of the Chris Pincher scandal.[32]
Gemmill 44554
Quite enjoyed this. Firstly because of this drip's absolutely pathetic attempt to be Johnson-like at the dispatch box. But mainly for the Speaker having to sit him down and explain to him that he's now a Minister and has to start acting like one. On the plus side, he's no longer teaching anybody's kids cos I'm fucking sure he's not fit to be doing that either.
