Why did the members vote for Corbyn? Because the Remnants of the Empire New Labour were voting through austerity measures and trying to out Tory the Tories.  That's 100% why I voted for him, and I stand by that vote because what Labour were doing at that point was condoning a political strategy that likely as not needlessly killed 120,000 British people over the decade that the Tories were running it as a consequence of the cuts to the NHS. And that's before we factor in what those cuts will have meant for our COVID readiness.  They made a rod for their own backs and you fundamentally cannot stop with the blame at the membership. The politicians in Labour failed -miserably- at the moment of Corbyn's election.
Gemmill 44900
Truss has vowed to clamp down on renewable energy development now. She's really got her finger on the pulse, the fucking vampire.

I've said before the alternative candidates were dross.  Cooper as the best of a bad bunch may be "competent" or whatever phrase it is they use but she was also a fan of benefit and immigration clampdowns and her flagship policy was expanding Sure Start rather than Corbyn's albeit over-extending suggestion of actual socialism.

Gemmill 44900
Reading all the threads predicting financial apocalypse today has prompted me to just uninstall twitter. I don't doubt there are some tough times ahead, I just don't need to read everyone's 30 post threads of horrific predictions.

Gemmill 44900
Burley should do all the debates. She's a nasty piece of work at times, but when it comes to talking to politicians she seems to at least see her job as actually challenging them, and then not letting them get away with shit non-answers. At least not without making it very clear that she knows that was a shit non-answer.
Rayvin 5223
The more I see of Truss, the more she seems to be like an older version of that Grimes scrote that crawls around on Twitter. She's an ex-Lib Dem too right? Previously held a lot of opinions that we probably could have gotten on board with but then sold them all out once she realised which side her bread was buttered. Â She's deplorable and I hope they elect her.

Gemmill 44900
They're fucked at the next election man. Truss trying to cut pay for all public sector workers outside the South East and now this. Holden McGroin 6588
Agree. Their rap sheet is as long my schlong and yet they still are in power. And to be honest with the bullshit they'll spout on the lead up  to the GE - id imagine they'll be in the hunt to win.

Rayvin 5223
Surely there's no way they actually manage to get the daft bellend back into office though - it would be devastating for the party.
