Yeah... depressing state of affairs really. The best we can hope I guess is that Brexit more or less falls apart of its own accord.

I started wondering the other day, what the minimum time frame would be for us to leave, realise it's fucking shit, and decide to go back in again. Obviously assuming we were even allowed.

The rebate and all our advantages are already off the table now, even if we turn around and head back in pre-Brexit, right?

It's so fucking stupid, it really is. As if we're not going to be back there in 20 years.

Yep, this was confirned quite recently. We're looking over the precipice. We can take a step back, turn around, and go home, or we can jump.

I've always tried to have faith we'd do the former, but am increasingly becoming less confident.

I'm not sure that's such a bad thing. Criminal tax trials are incredibly long and expensive and there's always a chance HMRC will lose. Coming to an agreement on the tax due seems like a much more efficient way of doing things to me.

Caught a bit of the One Show last night. They were asking people in Nuneaton what they thought of Boris Johnson. One bloke said he (i.e. the bloke being asked the question) was right wing so he liked him but he didn't know much about his policies  but he did like that thing he said recently about the burqa. That's the mentality you're dealing with arguing against Brexit, Tory austerity, CT, etc.

and naturally, it was only the slushy weather conditions that put them off their planned walk to stonehenge from sailsbury. the fact it's a 6 hour round trip by foot didn't seem to deter them

I mean, was the expectation that Russia would hold its hands up and confess? Why does anyone even care. We already kicked their diplomats out, and our government isn't going to take punitive measures against their rich, so who the fuck cares what Putin has to say about it.

But is there enough evidence to convince you that Russia was behind it?

If a thorough investigation has been carried out and the relevant authorities have decided Russia was behind it, then yes?

Did you ever actually understand my position?

this RT interview with the two hitmen is more than enough evidence. putin is taking the piss with his contempt for the west - did you see the smirk on this face when he announced these two goons were civilians?
