I see BoJo has been blaming parts of the media for talking down Brexit.

He's basically saying the press should be cheerleaders instead of scrutinising policy and hold the government policy.

He was right. A lot of them are not scrutinising policy but are simply fishing out any story that is anti Brexit. Same as happens on here and obviously what they / you are going to do from an anti Brexit viewpoint.

Firstly, what policy? There is literally no policy to scrutinise.

Secondly, this is just Johnson getting his excuses in early. When this goes tits up (and it already is) he'll blame everyone but himself for the mess he has made. It'll somehow be Remain's fault. And you have just proven you're ready to lap it up. <_<

I wouldn’t worry about Johnson, he’ll be gone tomorrow after his latest “dead bodies” remarks.

 name one positive story that hasn't been reported on. The broadsheet media he was attacking report and analyse facts.

He was accusing respected outlets of not being patriotic or positive enough. It is not the job of the free press to wave and cheer at government policy and "let the lion roar" for fuck sake.

He's attacking respected papers for being objective. And not patriotic enough.

May to announce massive council house building program tomorrow.

Great news if true. Hard to imagine this would happen without the Corbyn threat. The story right will be even keener to remove her sooner rather than later. Especially with Johnson, who was taking in his speech yesterday about tax cuts for the rich, waiting in the wings.

I work in building social housing and have had no whiff anywhere of any such program, in fact we are prepping for having our budgets cut. Again.

It's almost like they're making policy on the hoof.

Absolute tosh and you know it is. Most media outlets report news in a slant that fits with their views or that of its readers. Whether that’s left leaning or right leaning or pro eu or anti eu.

exactly the same in our EU thread where numerous negative news has been linked but zero positive news.

No examples have positive stories that the broadsheet press have failed to report on then.

The FT, who BJ accused of taking an eeyore approach to Brexit, has featured prominent brexiteers on its oped pages, Jacob Rees Mogg, Paul Nuttal, John Redwood and Matthew Elliot to name just a handful.

There will actually be some positives with Brexit. Surely. They'll pale in comparison to the negatives, but there must actually be some benefits...

Well, there was the good news about selling pigs ears to China fom Gove. Until it emerged that even the facts behind that story were bullshit. Seriously, how did it come to this?
