Le Pen is, curiously, more pro-State than Macron. That's a weird one actually - totally supports the idea that he's a Neo-liberalist I guess but rather compromises the view that he is centre-left, I would have thought?

that's exactly what i meant when i said it's going to be close - le pen has a real chance of winning a lot of the traditional working class socialist vote. she's softened the far-right image, while promising to invest in public services and crack down on immigration. she's the protest against the establishent vote - just like brexit here and trump in the US.

Interesting. But you think she's aiming for next time? I don't think the issues will go away so I suppose that's a reasonable strategy for her. World might move on though. Hopefully the left proposes some meaningful solutions that don't involve being insanely far right.

i read somewhere that she thinks she has a better chance next time. she has a big chance this time though, no mistake.

:D That vid is very true tbf.

With the caveat, as ever, that there remains no rational reason for anyone at the bottom to vote Tory. Le Pen and Trump make more sense.

Is that the one they've been working on for years? To be brutally honest, Chinese naval power isn't something that could worry the Americans. They lack any real ability to project their power outside of the immediate sphere of influence that they operate within, even with an aircraft carrier.

Not just a waste - it fucking stinks. Johnson's deputy awarded the contract to Arup and now works for them. Everybody involved were friends and the fop-haired cunt refused to answer mps questions.

  • 2 weeks later...

I can't quite believe how even it was at the first round given this result, but I suppose all three other candidates voters were unlikely to turn out for Le Pen.

That's the Eu stabilized then. Good.
