Biggest surprise for me was that we even need a Foreign Secretary in our new Little Britain. Didn't know we'd be talking to anyone else.

Political satire is dead.

Perfect speech.

Morning! I've had read through and for me it was cliche ridden toss bollocks for the gullible :)

As for Boris being appointed as the UKs leading diplomat, am thinking the only reason "dear old" Prince Phillip didnt get the gig is due to his age, if that's the road we're going down. David Davis seems a good appointment though, to be matron and change the daft inbred cunt's nappy when Juncker and Merkel tell him to get to fuck :good:

Quelle surprise

You're at the far left of the spectrum anyway so mere matters of governing are a distraction to good old fashioned protest. But for those of us who quite like centre politics, I think we are going to see quite a radical shift in policy.

Could even see some good old fashioned borrowing to spend on infrastructure

I expect a very exciting budget. I don't think she's going to hang around.

Get it right and it will be a landslide in 2020.

What a lovely little box you've put me in

I've voted labour twice, liberal the rest, never been on a protest march or rally of any kind. I suppose that does makes me a raving Trot from where you're sat. I'd say the difference between me and you is you only let what comes out the idiots lantern in the corner of your lounge inform your view of the world, which lets face it doesn't go far beyond your garden gate.

The present system we have is irrepably broken as we sit here in the second decade of the 21st century, Tory/labour doesn't matter a flying fuck now, it's over for anything progressive, new or radical that will bridge the money gap between the ludicrous wealth shared amongst the tiny few at top who basically pay for the results of elections like we've just had, and properly financing public services that an ageing population needs.

Perhaps someone may emerge from amongst the young folks who like Corbyn's ideals if not his abilities, his hearts in the right place bless him but there's too many out there with axes to grind on both sides to achieve anything progressive. What you're cheerleading for is more of the same, there was no choice for anyone at that fuckin hoax of a referendum. I can't think of anything worse at the moment tbh, other than that other giant bigot getting the shout in the US in November. You're welcome to it all mate.

So what's the policy that will bridge the wealth gap between the tiny few at the top?

I think you know enough about statistics to know the obvious weaknesses with that poll.

Not to mention that recent polling has been proven utter bollocks frequently.

Actual local results since Corbyn got in suggest that there would not be a total collapse of the labor vote too though.

Problem there is small sample size.

But there is evidence that the people claiming the vote would collapse aren't necessarily right.

What evidence is there to support their case? That the left of the eighties failed to build an effective opposition.

I wonder if print and TV media had a greater stranglehold on opinion then though.

Different world now.

More 18 year old voters, less 60-100 the longer the wait for the next GE.

Erm, no. What do you think will happen to the 55 to 60 cohort? If anything, I thought the older demographic was forecast to increase proportionately? This will be more so with Brexit.

HF, do you have any formal training in statistics? I love the effort you put into it, mainly on the footy board, but think your interpretation and analysis of stats is a bit suspect. ;)

Different world indeed. It's much more right wing nowadays and, for want of a better word, the working class no longer have brand loyalty to labour. Not to mention the internal divisions are much more severe now. It amazes me people think that the labour party as bit stands now has any chance at all. The only hope is for a radical shake up of the opposition.

Try thinking of it as a big sleeping giant football club that has a shit owner, shit manager, uncoached players and some deadwood.

All the foundations and disgruntled supporters are still there, just needs a Keegan.

Don't think so CT, the left has fractured. In your analogy it would be like a sizeable chunk of the supporter base decided to throw their lot in with Gateshead.

Why do you keep trying to persuade us it'll be ok though - you have what you want - endless Tory control as far as the eye can see. That's the main thing brexit has won us. Well played, in all fairness.
