I usually avoid this thread, and now I'm remembering why. I would say CT is despicable for having so little concern for his fellow man. However, I think we all know he doesn't actually believe what he is saying. He just wants some attention.

I think you're being overly kind, tbh.

Just seen the council tax cap has quietly been removed too. I already pay around 10% of my wage on council tax. Plus 20% income tax.

And national insurance. And 20% vat on everything else I buy.

Don't you just love being British

I pay > 60% on my income, tax base in the UK is low.

Come on Alex. I don't want you getting the wrong impression. I still think he's a complete cunt, but it's not because of this thread.

20% tax on my meagre salary is enough thanks. I prescribe drugs, make decisions on MHA assessments and carry the can in coroners court if any of my patients complete suicide. My mate sells street lights and makes more money than me

Aye it's minging.

Decent read. That sort of treatment of youth is surely unsustainable though. At some point it's gonna be riot time again, only this time they might find it a bit harder to put a stop to it.

Agree with that write up completely, even though I'm not 'officially' a young person despite my youthful appearance, I have great difficulty understanding why some under 25 should be excluded from a living wage. How the fuck does that work out? Is that not age discrimination? I'll be looking to lose about a hundred quid a month next april as the Wife can't work and the Tories don't want excuses like being disabled from stopping both couples working. I'm fucking tempted to claim we've separated and see if that helps our income.

You've mentioned this before I think ;)

It's an absolute disgrace that the tories have won a majority. I've not seen much mention of the fact that these "12bn savings " are not financing any imaginary deficit reduction / repayment, as he's also slashed corporation tax and the bank levies , to the tune of approx. 2.8bn per year for the next 5 years... (stats from my mate, but I believe him)

Redistribution of wealth at its very worst.

The big shocker I've heard of, is that the working tax credit change doesn't stop there, there's an IT Team outsourced and commissioned right now to REMOVE the functionality from the systems.. This will ensure that it can't easily be re-instated without substantial cost and another IT project.

That says it all to me, it's slash and burn on the welfare state .

Anyone who didn't vote should be ashamed. It's about time we did what Oz does and force everyone to vote, even if its just no confidence.

I believe that the tories won't privatise as such, they'll set each area to fail, e.g the NHS and then say they are "increasing exposure to the private sector" and wait for the whole public side to fall over. <off soapbox>

I honestly think this lot are gonna push their luck too far and it's gonna lead to massive civil unrest. I just can't see a way that they can keep kicking lumps out of a sizeable portion of the country and getting away with it unchallenged.

Cameron has basically tried to 'invent' National Insurance today ffs.

I hope it does kick off - it'll at least encourage people to vote the fuckers out & hopefully some kind of electoral reform.

Dunno like, they've played their hand so well in a political sense... Labour are in oblivion, the Lib Dems are utterly destroyed, who the fuck else is there? They've played an absolute blinder in this last election, the utter cunts...

I'm not sure they played a blinder like, I just think people are really, really fucking stupid and some just don't care. Years & years of BENEFIT CUNTS and Poor People with massive tellies who don't work but have plenty money for drink and looking after 7 kids Season 4 on telly seems to have got into peoples heads - as it was designed too. Cutting welfare and benefits whilst shrinking the economy & giving bankers levies is little more than social engineering. We're going to live in a fucking feudal system.

Even now - A program about the ''dying'' NHS on one channel and 'How to Get a Council House' on another. Seriously.

Some people deserve the shit they're going to get for being so fucking stupid as to let them back in, but the majority don't. A good 74%* who didn't want them don't.

*or whatever it is.

This is the start of a process that will see a real left wing alternative emerge to Labour (Tory Lite). It's happening all over Europe and even America (off all places). :)
