Almost a third (33%) of the UK population experienced poverty in at least one year between 2010 and 2013, equivalent to approximately 19.3 million people.

In 2013, 7.8% of the UK population were considered to be in persistent income poverty, equivalent to around 4.6 million people. Persistent poverty is defined as being in relative income poverty both in the current year and at least two out of the three preceding years.

If Reddit is to be believed, she's gonna be landed with some sort of indictment before the Democratic National Convention for this email server thing. Apparently the FBI are all up in her shit at the minute. Who knows though, things usually have a way of going away when they're going to upset the applecart amongst the elites...

She's awful like. Talk about Hobson's choice. That Pilger article PaddockLad posted a good read. I see Trump more as an incompetent buffoon, for all his horrible rhetoric. Hilary is genuinely scary.

Aye she's fucking brutal. Again though, her supporters are absolutely rabid about her and I just don't get it.

I would prefer Trump won it to her tbf. I think he's got a chance cos he won't be shy about attacking her for some of this stuff.

Okay, what am I missing here that Hilary's e-mails seriously trump Trumps vile racist rhetoric? I'm not following where this Hillary hatred has come from, someone clue me up.

It's sad to see so many being blind on the basis of her gender being the most important thing and not the fact she's a warmongering, neo-liberal cunt.

There's a good video showing her blatantly lying over same sex marriage, trade agreements and being shot at in Bosnia which somebody must have taken ten minutes to make. It'll be good when the professionals Trump will pay get their chance to attack her.

U turns on gay rights and trade agreements, speeches to wall St she won't release, support for military intervention in Libya, Syria and Iran. Fanatical backing of Israel.

If you want to chuck in racism, remember her remarks when Obama had the temerity to hijack her last attempted ascendency.

Aye, it'll be great when Trump wins. Fucking hell man.

It's not gonna be great when either of them win, but I'd love to see Hilary have some of her bullshit exposed. Clearly you fancy her though.

No one is saying that.

I've not been following the democrat race that closely, but was under the impression that Clinton was pretty much a bog standard establishment politician. Curious to what her skeletons are tbh, must be bad if she is worse than Trump.

And he then said neither would be great. I had a preference for Ed Miliband at the last General Election but I wouldn't say I considered the prospect of him leading the country to be 'great'.

I think the main problem with Clinton is her hawkish outlook, especially in the current climate. I also think I'd opt for her over Trump but it's not a very good decision to have to make imo.

Both Sanders and Trump have tapped into the anti-politics that seems prevalent throughout the western world. As you say Clinton is the antithesis of this which does give Trump a chance. If the people who supported Sanders are disillusioned enough to not vote for her or at all then she may struggle if the attacks hit home.

I didn't think Sanders had a real chance, though polls suggest otherwise, but I did hope Clinton would be forced to adopt some of his policies to gain support. If she does that then fair enough but I think her paymasters and personality suggest she won't and we'll see a president who's more aligned with Bush than Obama. Not that I think the latter has lived up to the promise either of course.

I didn't say it would be great, you blend. I said I'd rather he won than she did.
