Simply laughable that people think Corbyn is a solution to anything, but come on, this has been done to death. Let's park it until after the next GE.

Surely, SURELY, we can agree that a Corbyn style figure would be immensely preferable to a Trump?

And he's got a better idea of how to sort this shit out than the centre. Deer in the headlights doesn't do centreground politics justice at the minute, they're falling apart all over the place.

I think there's an opportunity for someone with Corbyn's politics in the current climate but I don't think he's the man to capitalise on that. It's not just a charisma thing either.

Tbh, don't rule out a Corbyn landslide after this. All bets are off.

The far right will be emboldened ahead of elections in France and Germany. Perhaps we can buck the trend and lurch to the left

Yeah I'd agree with that. The left needs to stop the right from being the voice of anti-establishment sentiment though... We need to move quickly.

 I don't think Corbyn has it in him either fwiw. But it's important to stick with him to stop the Neoliberals taking control of the party back or we'll just get more of this shit.

France will go to le Pen I think, and I'm not convinced that Merkel will survive. Not after the Syrian debacle. I just can't believe how quickly the whole thing could fall down. I sort of think parky is right, and that the establishment will have its fightback, but I'm wondering where it will come from...

From Corbyn who, once again, hits the nail on the head:

Many in Britain and elsewhere will be understandably shocked by Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election, the rhetoric around it and what the election result means for the rest of the world, as well as America.

Trump’s election is an unmistakable rejection of a political establishment and an economic system that simply isn’t working for most people. It is one that has delivered escalating inequality and stagnating or falling living standards for the majority, both in the US and Britain.

This is a rejection of a failed economic consensus and a governing elite that has been seen not to have listened. And the public anger that has propelled Donald Trump to office has been reflected in political upheavals across the world.

But some of Trump’s answers to the big questions facing America, and the divisive rhetoric around them, are clearly wrong.

I have no doubt, however, that the decency and common sense of the American people will prevail, and we send our solidarity to a nation of migrants, innovators and democrats.

After this latest global wake up call, the need for a real alternative to a failed economic and political system could not be clearer.

That alternative must be based on working together, social justice and economic renewal, rather than sowing fear and division. And the solutions we offer have to improve the lives of everyone, not pit one group of people against another.

Americans have made their choice. The urgent necessity is now for us all to work across continents to tackle our common global challenges: to secure peace, take action on climate change and deliver economic prosperity and justice.

They'll play along for a bit.....Even pretend to be listening etc....They know they can't make a move right now. All those highly paid think tanks are feverishly trying to work out the new scams. But for now its coming so thick and so fast and from so many places they are scared. They are also scared because the MSM has lost two fights in a row....The will possibly be busy trying to colonize the alt media...The legacy media is toast. Nobody believes it, nobody watches it and kids make up stuff that goes half way around the world in 5 minutes.

A storm is coming.

Not having this Parky was right shit, he wanted Brexit and Trump like the majority of people. He never called it and in fact Brexit and Trump undermine his world view completely. Brexit and Trump prove everything he believes about global elites controlling the world wrong!

There are a lot of people I work with very happy but I was with a couple of Muslim colleagues yesterday and they are very afraid. One of them is VP of the company, must be bizarre to be so high up in a Republican corporation and being afraid of a Republican President.

I sense straw....I sense a man behind such straw. :)

I've laid out in clear terms how the Globalists are in crisis over the last couple of years. Brexit and Trump are the opening exchanges the war is just getting started. There are no winners yet.

There's 50 pages on N.O. where I repeated why Brexit might happen and that a reset was coming, that it might actually be good that the people feel they are re-engaged in politics...That the purview was the whole world...Ripples have traveled across the pond.

AND this is and internet revolution...Fought across borders, thoughts, ideas and information exchanged in seconds. Firewalls have replaced propaganda, linking and hot desking has replaced war rooms, blogs have replaced anchors....Hope has trumped fear.

Fact is you don't know what the machinations of wikileaks are. If he releases all the emails he receives then that's even worse because then it's basically the hackers who decide what is published.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him get an amnesty from the US now.

I'll send a tenner to the Rosbson foundation if he does.

Disclaimer, I'm joking. He's got no chance.

But I did think the same about Brexit and Trump so I might just stop expressing opinions.

This is where I'm at. I'm not even going to risk a bet on eating J69's arse now if Corbyn wins cos the world has gone mad. Having said that, a Corbyn victory is at least a magnitude less likely than anything that's happened so far. I think we're just going to see s swing to the right everywhere.

Also Rayvin, don't forget Hitler was the leader of a so called socialist party. You seem to be under the impression we'll get some type of warm and fussy socialism. It often doesn't work out like that. Rarely does in fact.

I'm not sure how Corbyn is going to be able to walk that back if he becomes PM.

Oh wait...

Corbyn isn't hard left, man. He's standing more or less slap bang in the middle of where the centreground should be. Before the markets hijacked it.

Globalists in crisis  Nice pivot. You think the elite conspires but fails to win, not exactly a powerful elite if they don't control anything ;)

Anyway as much as it was impossible for Obama to live up to his hype I think it will be equally impossible for Trump to live up to his reputation.

And said goodbye to the circus

Off she went with a Trumpety Trump

Trump Trump Trump!!'
