RedfernMag 0
Anyone watch this recently? The BBC re-screened a documentary made in 1975 about a 11 year old lad from Durham who was put into care when he burned down the family home. It's well worth watching (and a great example of what factual documentary TV used to be like) it had me totally on his side up until he said that if he had 3 wishes one of them would be to destroy St James' Park There was a follow documentary made 10 years later where he finally gets out of a secure unit in Moss Side and gets to see the original documentary for the first time. Don't know if that one is up on YT yet. Edited November 7, 2013 by RedfernMag
Kevin Carr's Gloves 4063
I watched that and thought the only thing which could have made it sadder is after announcing the decision to send him to a secure unit they said "But on the upside Jimmy Savile and his friends regularly visit the kids to spend 1-2-1 time with them". Did you see the second one? that hit me even more than the first.
