TheGingerQuiff 2412
Oooooo, how cuntroversial. The tribunal found the exact opposite to what you're saying- the club did treat him differently as a result of his cancer. ( is this you emulating your idol, and giving Authoritay the finger? ) Funny post. Award worthy. He wasn't getting a new contract. Nothing controversial (or cuntroversial if you're a funny bastard) about that statement. He'd have been poorly treated whether he did or didn't have cancer. Keegan didn't have cancer, Hughton didn't. Shearer didn't. Barton and Nolan didn't. The decision in court was likely made by people that don't know that they're notorious when it comes to treating people like cunts. Or maybe they did and felt they could actually do something about this instance. It's not as if Ashley's not known for being am utter cunt to his employees, is it? TheGingerQuiff 2412
Let's not rewrite history, before he got cancer we hated seeing him selected and would have been fuming if he'd gotten an extension. The whole thing gave me a new found love for the guy, and that roar when he came on against Man United and his goal versus West Ham both put a lump in my throat, but I just refuse to accept that he'd have been allowed to trigger that extension clause in any case. Alex 35079
Colocinni has been protesting for about 3 years going off his performances. Heard from a very good source at the weekend that he's an absolute disgrace in training and is badly liked at the club amongst his peers now because his attitude fucking stinks. Happy Face 29
These are the contingency payments the club was liable for over the past 7 season. However, the payments were only actually made prior to 2011 (grey). In every set of accounts since then (blue), the club have stated that "the directors do not currently think that it is probable that such sums will be payable on the basis that the qualifying criteria are not currently expected to be met" While the immediate thought that springs to mind is that the club are holding players back from first team action to avoid triggering payments, the other point of view would be that the players the club are buying are less able to play at a Premier League standard. Neither reflect well on the club, but we have very recent evidence of the former from the Jonas Gutierrez case, where a player that was good enough was not played purposely. Also noteworthy are the decreasing sums that the club are liable to pay. It looks to be a policy decision that the club don't want to be required to pay clubs anything but an initial fee. This severely restricts the club’s ability to sign good prospects at a reasonable price, as most clubs that have invested in coaching a youth through their academy or feeding them into their first team want some payback when their potential is met. Mike Ashley is clearly opposed to any other clubs benefiting from the performance of his players, no matter how great the on pitch benefit to Newcastle United. Dickie 0
Heard from a very good source at the weekend that he's an absolute disgrace in training and is badly liked at the club amongst his peers now because his attitude fucking stinks. That is interesting if true. Wasn't there a rumour going round that he was the main reason Ben Arfa got peddled - hadn't he supposedly told Pardew that Ben Arfa was bad for the squad because of his attitude and had to go? Colo has been a strange case almost from the start - from looking like a very dicey buy in his first season, then having 3 brilliant seasons starting from the Championship year and then incredibly patchy since all that carry on with his wife and then his fatha trying to engineer him a move back to Argentina. I read recently an interview where Joey Barton described Colo as a "fearsome character" which I thought was interesting since he's not very demonstrative on the field for a captain and centre-half.
