Tom 14011
Had a class day out. I was expecting a sound beating so I'd had a few before I even got in the ground. Had a mint time in the ground obviously & ended up out till quite late. Pretty much singing constantly. Class performance, glad I didn't have to watch it on BT Sport, I bet they were gutted. Now I'm rough.
aimaad22 4085
Just watched the MOTD highlights. That was class from Anita in the build up to our second. Didnt know he had that in his locker

David Kelly 1217
Was Mbiwa more expensive than Anita or Debuchy? Great second half after a first half in which I was wondering why I'd bothered going. No passion from the players or the crowd. Thankfully everything picked up about ten minutes into the second half. As others have said Debuchy, Sissoko, Remy, Gouffran and Anita all played really well and I think Tiote was having another good game. Think Mbiwa deserves a mention though because I thought he was also excellent in the second half after being a bit shakey in the first. What the fuck was Pardew doing bringing squidward on though. I seriously wouldn't have him in the reserve squad. And when we'd had Gouffran busting a gut to help Santon the last thing we needed was that gutless twat fucking things up. As soon as he came on they put Ivanovic up front. They knew they didn't need to have a defender against him because he's so bad. He even nearly managed to fuck up things up for the second goal. The ball came to him and he nearly fell over trying to get it under controll. I've seen some terrible players have games here over the years (Fumaca & Rob McDonald being the two standouts) but never has someone so bad managed to drag out his ineptness into three seasons. Staggering.
Tom 14011
He played really well off Anita & contributed to the second goal tbh. He's not all that bad - he just needs to get his confidence up.
Christmas Tree 4669
Just watching MOTD. Quite amazing that Pardew intervention for the free kick. Interesting facial expressions between him and Cabaye, almost as though he's told him to do something, Cabaye looks at him as though he's a prick and the Pardew wags his finger as if to say "just do it"! Tom 14011
Aye he's class, that's generally what you get when you buy from Ajax these days. They are the footballing equivalent of a puppy farm. He's not all that bad - he just needs to get his confidence up.He's fucking hopeless. He's got the heart of a pea. He'll never have the confidence to make him a decent player because he has no bottle. He never wants the ball and he's frightened to take a man on. I'd give him a free transfer now just to make sure I never have to see him play for us again.

Happy Face 29
Was Mbiwa more expensive than Anita or Debuchy? Debuchy £5m, Mbiwa £6.7m...Anita didn't start but his fee was kept more quiet...apparently about the same as Mbiwa though. http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=1823&comp_id=1&teamTabs=transfers

Monroe Transfer 0
He was oustanding, both defensively and offensively. I love his passion and his energy. Can't believe people ever doubted him. With that said if he's got Ben Arfa in front of him then he has to work harder because Hatem doesn't track back enough.

With that said if he's got Ben Arfa in front of him then he has to work harder because Hatem doesn't track back enough. The reason people doubted him was because of his dreadful performances, he was defensively inept and had a solid run of shocking displays, to the point where he went missing. He has picked up in recent games, hopefully he has turned a corner.
essembeeofsunderland 811
Obertans was not only on the bench,he came on so PARDEW OUT PARDEW OUT. I wonder if Pardew had noticed that Chelsea push out for fee kicks in positions like the one for the goal so he told Cabaye to whip it over top and run onto the ball
Renton 21050
He played really well off Anita & contributed to the second goal tbh. He's not all that bad - he just needs to get his confidence up. I think he's utter gash and always will be, but curiously has his uses as a late sub. Yesterday is an example why its hard to give up going. The weird thing is a lot of our performances are really entertaining. Contrast that to the Souness era when every game was utter shit. It got to the stage I wanted us to lose to get rid of the fucker, I don't feel like that about Pardew though.
The Fish 10672
Aye, but I don't agree because Steven Taylor is gash. No, I'm saying Colo plus Mbiwa is first choice partnership and we were missing that (even though we have 50% of it.) It's clear that Colo adds so much to whomever he plays with, but when he's alongside Mbiwa, the boost he gives is more noticeable. To me any way. I mean, Williamson is one of those players that no matter the league he played in, you'd say he was average for that level. Taylor could have been a top class centre half, had it not been for poor coaching and zero stability. I think Mbiwa will be quality, he's got the tools to be a Colo, definitely. There's a lot of people - mostly on message boards & twitter who do feel that way about Pardew & that's in spite of this seasons improvements. I'm not sure these people go to games like because I've only ever heard a few people calling for his head & that was when Liverpool were slotting their sixth in. He's frustrating at times but I can't find proper hatred for him because I do believe he wishes to succeed and he's not totally incompetent as he's proven a few times. If they sack him I can't imagine them being arsed to replace him properly & there's the issue that his replacement would do and say exactly the same things about 'Mike' & 'Joe' because it's part of the remit. If they sack him I can't imagine them being arsed to replace him properly. This for me - he desperately wants to succeed so you can't really say he's just coasting. I was going to liken him to WIlliamson who is limited but always tries (and so can't really be disliked), but he's actually better than that, and strives to succeed more visibly. He isn't perfect and definitely costs us points on occasion, but sometimes I wonder if anyone could come in and do a job with this team given the limitations of the senior management structure. For all we know, Pardew could have been asking for better coaches for months but has simply been ignored. My great fear is that he's a decent manager undermined by those above him, and when he goes we'll see a crap manager being undermined with a much more damaging outcome. I think if we replaced him with someone like Mourinho, who seems to be the current PL benchmark for capable management for one reason or another, we'd still not see a significant upturn in fortunes.
