How's your form Aeris, last 6?

I got 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, but I honestly think the most worthy of the members with Geordie blood in them should start this one. That's what my sixth sense says today :)

Just watched the first 35 minutes through drunken sleepy eyes.

Very impressed with the majority of Tiotes work which looks back to kiss.

Sissoko still doesn't seem to fit to me and Remy looks to have had a quiet 30. Gouffran while energetic has offered little danger and Ben Arfa disappointing.

Overall though we look a lit better than of late.

Watch the rest tomorrow.

Let me save you the bother CT.

Ben Arfa was shite and is no Marv.

Debuchy needs sending back.

Sammy is terrible.

We needed Shane for the crosses.

Santon offers nothing.

Sissoko hasn't shown anything since being here.

Have I missed anything?

If Jonas had played, he'd have been shit

Where'd you find the full match CT?

Well full match just watched. Cracking performance and a very deserved point.

Tiote was my motm and looked back to his best which then brings out the best in Cabaye.

Also thought that was one of Debuchys best game for us so far, however part of that might be that the full backs naturally concentrated on defending rather than getting forward. That said I thought he literally through himself into a good display.

Gouffran put in another battling shift and seems to be a Jonas plus type player. Personally has to be in contention from taking over from the very ineffectual Ben Arfa. Great on his day but his days are very few.

Krul also looked back to his superb best with some excellent saves. Pleased for Williamson and Dummet as well. The look on the lads face as he realised his effort was going in was priceless.

Still cant see anything in Sameobi. Surely not Premiership quality.

So in conclusion, great game, great to see Tiote getting back to his best, but the dilemma that is Ben Arfa continues.

McFaul didn't get sacked just after the 1-4 Liverpool game. He was sacked the following season. Think it might have been after a 0-3 home defeat to coventry.

(aye it was around the time of the 2-1 win at Anfield and about the week of Jackie Milburn passing away.

What happened was we beat the WP 2-1 at Anfield, then the next week we were 0-3 doon at home to Coventry and the entire Gallowgate has a sit down protest at half time.

Gouffran and Ben Arfa aren't even the same kind of player, and aye he had a bad one at the weekend but that was because of the way we set ourselves up, just didn't work for him.

He needs pass and move players around him , See if he was at arsenal playing behind Giroud like ozil/carzola are it'd be a totally different story.

Sammy has promise far more than ferguson tbh, he'll be a good "classic" winger.

There's no dilemma for Ben Arfa, play him in his position and get people to pass and move and it'll work, when he gets the ball he has two people constantly on him and either has to beat them himself, it's rare anything is quick enough for him/people making themselves available. Cabaye is a great passer of the ball, but likes to dwell on it, take his time, tiote spins about on it, sissoko is direct like yaya toure when he goes on his driving runs. Remy and Ben Arfa will work well because the two of them will be looking to give and go.

Ben Arfa cannot constantly have 2-3 defenders on him with no outlet and be expected to beat them non stop or switch play, why do you think the likes of Barca with their tiny passing midgets are so good at the one touch passing and working outlets to recieve the ball, because if they weren't the likes of xavi/innesta would have the exact same problem, they have to play it quick and move

You're wasting your time man

I meant he's wasting his time telling you any kind of technical aspect of the game or detailed descriptions of players etc, how other clubs to do it,because you'll ignore it & drag it down to the simplest level you can so you can get an argument out of it.

Your condescension when discussing matters is cringe worthy enough - but then I shouldn't have to explain something so simple.

I don't think anyone's disagreeing with the obvious though

i.e an inform Lee Trundle is better then a Lionel Messi who's adopted a serious heroin habit and lost 6 stone.

Aye, I needed Ant to point out that Gouffran and Ben Arfa are different.

I'm also not interested in how Barcelona play or why Ben Arfas poor form is the fault of other players or what he achieved in his youth.

I am interested in what he's like here and whether the team is better with or without him.

As for arguing, it is others who are arguing with my valid point that to play or drop Ben Arfa will be one of Pardews main decisions this week.

Thanks for your usual snidey input though :)

Anyone else notice that when Dummet scored there were 9 players jumping all over the lad.....Ben Arfa was walking back to the halfway line for kick off.

I saw an ISO of Ben Arfa during the goal. He was far away from it - and held his hands up to the sky and cheered. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Ben Arfa having three players on him is a massive, massive plus point.

It means he doesn't need to do anything and he's already creating space for the other midfielders. If he was left alone by the opposition and still didn't bother them, then I'd be considering dropping him.
