ADP 0
Any one know anywhere decent in town where I could pick up a second hand bike for cheap? The only place I know of that is Recyke Y'Bike in Byker, though could do with other options if possible. 200 quid budget. Cheers

Christmas Tree 4725
Have you checked gumtree. Some cracken bikes on there around that price range.
Gemmill 44890
The problem with Gumtree is a lot of the bikes are nicked. And the coppers can just take it off you if they get a serial number match on a bike that's been reported stolen.
Monkeys Fist 42457
Cracken? Really?

I think if you're spending that sort of price combined with having a quick google of the buyers address then you're fairly safe. Ie If it was someone on your estate selling it you'd be fairly confident it was legit.

Christmas Tree 4725
Right so we're restricting him to buying off his neighbours. No, Gumtree usually lists the street the seller lives on. If it looks rough as a badgers then you can decide not to chance it. If it looks like a decent estate then I think your chances of it being stolen are greatly reduced. Christmas Tree 4725
ADP? I've no idea. Well if he's a bamp he's obviously come by his £200 by illicit means anyway so will probably be able to spot a wrong un.
Ayatollah Hermione 13869
Go to Northumbria Uni auctions. I'm not taking the piss either with that; when the sports students finish and go back, if they leave their bikes etc. behind, you can get them for cheap. Monkeys Fist 42457
Northumbria Police auction off lost/stolen property too. http://www.kgbanswers.co.uk/where-do-northumbria-police-hold-auctions-for-unclaimed-and-confiscated-lost-and-stolen-property/22475069 That was the best info I could find about it though
