Andrew 4748
KK said he'd never saw such an unfit bunch of players after talking over from XXXL Sam. Duff said as much after KK had been back about a month, they were all much fitter for his training sessions.
acrossthepond 877
Fat Sam was abysmal in both match preparation and tactics, and his signings were, by and large, rubbish as well. Anyone remember Rozenhal, for example? But nobody could forget Alan Smith. Allardyce is a fraud of a manager who deserved everything he got here. Nowadays I wouldn't even blink at the level of embarrassing shambles he brought to the club, but at the time, we were still relatively well thought-of and he made us a laughingstock with 4-1 home losses to Pompey and conceding 4 points to Derby (the most they got off any one club that season as I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone.) Every time we face him I hope we stick it to the fat cunt but I doubt it'll happen today. 1-1.
Park Life 71
He always needs very specific types of players (Boltonesque) and loads of time. Oh AND that megaphone he uses at training..The fat whale.

scotty84 0
. Glad they put that up, I was starting to wonder why we were erecting a metal gate against a brick wall. Christmas Tree 4725
All things considered, happy enough with that. Cabaye however should be shamed out of UK football if, IF, it's his decision not to play.

scotty84 0
I'd rather have Gouffran starting than Shola or Cisse. This. Gouffran looks comfortable and confident sprinting with the ball at his feet, neither of our strikers today can say this about themselves. Shola hat-trick. Christmas Tree 4725
I'd rather have Gouffran starting than Shola or Cisse. I would possibly agree, however Shola has been finding the net in pre season and will have more luck finding long balls I would have thought. Andrew 4748
I'd rather have Gouffran starting than Shola or Cisse. I can see him replacing one of them in the second half to take advantage with his pace

We weren't playing long balls on Monday but yeh - he worked well with Ba playing off him. Cisse doesn't fill that role quite so well. Plus I think we've got a passing midfield today anyway - curious to see how long it takes to evolve into a forward three.

scotty84 0
I get worried about a midfield with Ben Arfa and Marveaux in it - great going forward but fuck all cover when Santon bombs forward.
