Is there evidence of a relationship between Allen and anyone under 20?

Still distasteful that he was 3 times Soon Yi's age when they got together and does taint his work somewhat. But that relationship is 23 years old now. Unlike the case of Chaplin who despised the girls as he married them to avoid scandal.

The 12 year old boys example is lost on me. Are you defending that sort of thing too? I guess not.

The Dude: Fuckin' Quintana... that creep can roll, man.

Walter Sobchak: Yeah, but he's a pervert, Dude.

The Dude: Yeah.

Bowling ability offers no excuses.

3 times Soon Yi's age and her father!Sauce for the fact he despised these girls? He married an 18 year old and lived with her the rest of his life. In Ancient Greece there was a culture of pederasty.

Allen wasn't her father...biologically or adoptively.

Chaplin...

The sixteen-year old Harris met actor Charlie Chaplin in mid-1918, dated, and came to believe she was pregnant by him - but the pregnancy was found to be a false alarm. They married on October 23, 1918, in Los Angeles, California when she subsequently became actually pregnant. Chaplin's unhappiness with the union was matched by his dissatisfaction with First National. The couple quarreled about her contract with Louis B. Mayer and her career. Chaplin felt she was not his intellectual equal, and, after their child died in July 1919 aged only three days,[3][4] they separated in the autumn of 1919.

While making The Gold Rush, Chaplin married for the second time. Mirroring the circumstances of his first union, Lita Grey was a teenage actress – originally set to star in The Gold Rush – whose surprise announcement of pregnancy forced Chaplin into marriage. She was 16 and he was 35, meaning Chaplin could have been charged with statutory rape under California law.[164] He therefore arranged a discreet marriage in Mexico on 24 November 1924.[165] When their son, Charles Spencer Chaplin, Jr, was born on 5 May 1925, Chaplin sent Grey and the child into hiding: it was seen as too close to their wedding, so a fake birth announcement was made to the press at the end of June.[166]

Chaplin was markedly unhappy with the marriage, and spent long hours at the studio to avoid seeing his wife.

What age is acceptable then? My ex was nineteen when I started seeing her and I was thrity three. Obviously there's nothing illegal about it but is it in bad taste?

Over 18 and I you're ok until you're approaching middle age. Her family might not agree like, but she's an adult and she's not getting into some wrinkly :D

Where's that from it only mentions one bride you said he despised them all. Soon Yi was Legally Allen's sons sister. She was the adoptive daughter of Mia Farrow who was Allen's partner from Soon Yi being 11.

There's 2 quotes there, one for wife 1 and another for wife 2.... both 16 year olds. Both were married following pregnancy scares to avoid scandal neither lasted long at all and were loveless marriages. can't believe I've had to explain why it leaves a bad taste over so many pages. I don't have to justify it with any equivalency of other "artists" and what they got up to, whether that was justifiable or not. It's fucking creepy for blokes approaching their 40s to pray exclusively on girls in their mid-teens.

I think what Allen did is creepy too, I just corrected the facts, not defend him. I don't know how much contact he had with Soon Yi between the ages of 11 and 20. Allen didn't even live with Farrow during their whole relationship so I'm guessing he wasn't taking her on the school run regularly. There are stories about him and Stacey Nelkin from when she was 17 too (the basis for Annie Hall), which is dodgy.

Aye her dad was never too happy about it and I can't blame him for that (stayed well clear of him tbh). Her mam loved me though. Mind you, I was nearer her age :D
