Christmas Tree 4748
Can't we just for once realise that a cup run is our only hope of silverware and fucking attack one for a change.

Win a cup?....that would get us into Europe and lets face all those extra games would be a disaster.
Tom 14013
NUST’s report also says that United confirmed that cup competitions aren’t the priority for Newcastle and that the will be used to look at squad players. Unless I'm really bored tonight that's £20 saved.
trophyshy 7083
So cup football is not economically viable then? Thank you Sky.

PaddockLad 17356
City have Chelsea and Norwich either side of the next round, we have the tramps and Chelsea...city also have champions league games....i think they'll play a fairly scratch side, and we did do Chelsea in this cup at their place on similar circumstances a few years back. The balls in Pardews court as to what side he puts out, regardless of what those pair of twats said at that meeting the other night.

Because if we stumbled our way to the quarters or semis by facing non-entities the pursuit of the cup may increase in it's value to our top-floor staff. Say we beat Leeds to face Birmingham at home, then we meet Burnley in the Quarters, suddenly we're in with a shout...

It's unlikely they'd take it seriously no matter how far we got, the potential for hampering the team's pursuit of a top 10 finish is too great through injury or suspensions. We couldn't possibly endanger Fat Mike's chance at the yearly tv money payoff.

They might not, in so much as they wouldn't fatten our squad to accommodate it, but we might have been able to stumble through to later stages regardless. Instead, we meet Man City and such we're likely out.
