You are, but it's only the third worst mistake in your post. The second is dismissing knockout formats as a valid sporting construct, and the first is thinking golf is a sport.

You are not a morning person Martin.

I'm dismissing tennis as a serious sporting event because every round from the 1st to the final is seeded. How can you call it a serious sporting event if you cannot possibly play any other top 4 seeded player until the semi-final. Would Murray have donated his recent winnings to charity if his mate had not been ill. He's certainly gained a lot of publicty for his action ( s ).Did he wear his adidas clothing when he announced this/these gestures.

As for the lions, the best players from 4 countries beat the best from one country so why the hysteria.

The sooner the football starts the better then maybe a lot of you can come down from the clouds.

I'd say football is about your level. I'm dismissing you as a credible human being.

Isn't the Europa League seeded from the qualifiers to the final? 100% agree about the lions though, 4 nations beat 1 nation in the worlds wankest sport and people were thinking we should care? Meh. Late on this but it was class to see Murray win, don't give a shit about nationality but he just deserved it.

As we dont seem to have a general tennis thread this will have to do.

Funny old final today at the Aussie Open. Always been a Rafa fan but he really won me over today. Is there a greater competitor in sport out there right now? Toiled through the last 3 sets despite clearly having no chance of winning. Made the crowd that booed him during his medical break look like right idiots too. Made no mention whatsoever of his injury in his speech at the end.

Good stuff from Wawrinka though, played a brilliant first set and deserving champ on the whole. Had some of the spotlight stolen off him in the end, most people talking about Nadal's tenacity and spirit. Im sure he's doesnt mind one bit though with that shiny trophy in his hand and his name going down in the books.
