McFaul 35
Who is this even supposed to be aimed at? Second time in this thread you've mentioned the Belgrano apropos of nothing. No-one has mentioned her being a war criminal either....except you. For you to say "Maybe just a tiny bit of projection going on there methinks." strikes me as ironic. Given you "protest too much". Brock Manson 0
As has John Madejski. As Reading are playing Liverpool they're already holding a minute's silence for the Hillsborough anniversary, I'd love to see Liverpool's reaction if Reading suggest sharing it with the memory of Thatcher. 9pm: Reading chairman John Madejski says he wants football to mark the death of Margaret Thatcher with a minute's silence at the weekend as it "would be a fitting tribute from the world of football to ... one of our greatest leaders." 11pm: Reading announce on their official website they will be holding a minute's silence ahead of Saturday's game at home to Liverpool, but "as a mark of respect for the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster." Park Life 71
This thread ought to be preserved as some kind of cultural document with regard to the long term efficacy of propaganda and predictive programming protocols targeted at the petit bourgouis. RedfernMag 0
The fact that Tony Blair carried on Thatcherism was my basic point. The lefties lost, which is why all they have left in their lives is to is to celebrate in this crass manner on this one day. Suck it up, losers! Maggie died today at 87 years of age, but in comparison, socialism has never even got past adolescence......and looks like it never will! Huzzah. Your ideology died in 2008. As for Maggie, I've always had a soft spot for those Tibetan shamans that used to turn the thigh bones of murderers and the lowest of criminals into musical instruments, they would blow through these bone trumpets to summon the spirit of the dead individual so that they could never rest. Shame she's being cremated, would of been canny passing them around for the bairns to blow on at christmas.

sweetleftpeg 0
I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said apart from that I've found a lot of the press since pretty hard to swallow. It shouldn't be a surprise that those running media empires are on her side as they profited most out of her 'policies', but the sycophantic and canonising of her these past two days has even shocked me. The beeb especially, an impartial organisation I subsidise, have fawned over her like a national treasure. Massively disappointing that the likes of Dennis Skinner et al have decided to boycott today. Would have loved to have heard his 'tribute'. As was said before, she clung on to see her spawn inflict more pain on the poor through a pretty badly managed and badly thought out Welfare reform. I gain some comfort from the fact that if there is a heaven and shes gone there, that my dad, granddads, and great uncles will all be waiting for the cunt with various implements of torture. PaddockLad 17290
Agree with this: In a sign of the deep unease in Labour ranks after Ed Miliband instructed his MPs to act in a respectful manner, the former housing minister John Healey said Thatcher's legacy was "too bitter to warrant this claim to national mourning". http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/apr/10/thatcher-boycott-ex-labour-minister She's far too a devisive figure. She didnt want a state funeral? the lad at the desk to me is ex royal navy and rode on Lord Mounbatten's gun carriage at his state funeral and he says to all intents and purposes, she's having one. The only difference is shes not lying in state....wonder why?...

Renton 21643
I noticed the website had changed its tune a little bit from today. Potentially from people getting in touch telling them they were being massively one sided. According to the Mail, the BBC has been massively biased against Thatcher. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2306564/Margaret-Thatcher-Public-anger-BBC-bias-Viewers-hit-lengthy-coverage-poll-tax-miners-strike.html Apparently Huw Edwards didn't wear a black tie, the Marxist cunt. sweetleftpeg 0
Bizarre, I actually turned 5Live off because of the gushing national treasure stuff. To be honest, I've not watched much tv coverage as I don't really want to hear anecdote after anecdote about how lovely and brilliant she was when she destroyed so many families and communities, the cunt.
