The Fish 11065
The difference between football and rugby support? I dunno, it's quite a range
PaddockLad 17932
Union or league?......league is declining in general, union is watched by more people than at any time in its history. Sky has been good for one, bad for the other. A lot of top divison football clubs are now watched by their biggest regular gates ever. The rest of the football league clubs however are muddling along in various states of health. Brighton on the up, Coventry very much on a downer. So its difficult to make any sort of accurate comparison iyam.
CleeToonFan 1
Wigan Athletic get bigger crowds than Wigan Warriors. Even in places seen as 'rugby towns' the brand of top level football can't be beaten.

Rugby League is on the brink of bankruptcy over there is it not? Shame if it is, that sport has it all over Union. As a spectacle I enjoy watching rugby league and follow it here in Australia avidly. Not the brightest chaps when speaking but they certainly are amongst the toughest. Punctured lungs, dislocations, playing with fractured legs and broken jaws (back in the day), cracked vertabrae, ACL's, the injuries are endless. It is a genuinely tough sport.
