scoobos 298
That's just silly talk :/ Getting rid of a striker shouldn't be an option for 40 mil unless we have another already :/ Great Suarez vid, laughing hard at points.
Andrew 4857
Good excuse to hoy this up They've got the celebration and the clapping at ref with goofy smile down absolutely pat
Howay 12496
And what an absolute disaster that would be. This, £15m in for Cisse and then £15m for Carroll in would be an utter nightmare. Cisse barely misses a game whereas Carroll is injured more often then not (he's currently injured now isn't he?), we'd also still need two more strikers and would have downgraded the one striker we have. aimaad22 4222
Exactly, hope to hell its bollocks. We need to hear about strikers coming in, not leaving.

Monroe Transfer 0
It's just wrong. You've got the likes of PSG and Monaco buying success, and the likes of Lyon and Marseille more or less earning it over the years. Montpellier and Lille showed how competitive Ligue 1 was. The rest of that league is so, so ordinary and it looks weird to have all these superstars playing against such poor opposition.
Howay 12496
The return of the Tinkerman to the big time, odd that he's found himself in a similar position to when he was at Chelsea. Shame that Ligue 1 is now as noncompetitive as most the other leagues as like MT says it was one of the most competitive ones.

aimaad22 4222
The Mirror saying we're pondering over a 10M bid with loaning him back to Derby for a season? Hell will freeze over before Ashley strikes a deal like that! 10M and loan him back? Are we bloody Man Utd now?
Howay 12496
He's class like but I'm not convinced we'd go and spend £10m on a youth prospect albeit a very good one. I really hope it's a team like us that gets him mind and we don't see him go to one of the top sides and rot in their reserves.

Monroe Transfer 0
http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2013/05/31/newcastle-united-join-queue-of-clubs-chasing-will-hughes-61634-33407979/ NEWCASTLE United are interested in Derby County wonderkid Will Hughes, The Journal can reveal. Hughes is one of the most coveted young English talents in the game, and has been linked with Manchester City, Arsenal and even Barcelona in recent months. But United have been monitoring him for more than a year, and are once again keeping tabs on his availability this summer. Newcastle will hold meetings over the next seven days to determine their recruitment policy and the size of the budget that will be available to overhaul a squad that appears in need of refreshing to meet the club’s minimum top ten target. But they have several long-term targets who may be made available this summer – including the highly-coveted Hughes. Derby want to keep hold of the 18-year-old but accept that they may be forced to let him go if a Premier League club tables a significant bid in the close season. Unlike the other clubs linked with him, United would be able to offer Hughes regular first team football in a midfield engine room that could be re-shaped by the sale of Cheick Tioté if interest from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow is firmed up. That would be a significant bargaining tool if Derby decide to cash in on their biggest asset. Newcastle’s close interest in Hughes is an illustration that they will move in the domestic market – if the player’s valuation is considered realistic enough. United’s summer targets are mostly based in France, Belgium and Holland again this summer but they are also looking to snap up young English talent to challenge their first team. It was a blueprint that saw them move for Gaël Bigirimana last summer and while Hughes’ valuation would dwarf that of the Coventry youngster, their policy could lead to a move for the teenager (pictured below) this close season. Although United would face major competition to land Hughes, The Journal understands they have watched the England under-21 midfielder on a number of occasions – just as they were watching Southampton’s Luke Shaw before opting to move for Massadio Haïdara. Hughes’ contract, which was signed when he turned 18, runs until the end of the 2015-16 season and Derby’s valuation could be up to the eight-figure mark. Rams chief Nigel Clough admitted before the end of the season that he would be available if a large enough bid was tabled. He said: “If somebody blows us out of the water with a massive offer then he will go, but that is the same at any club. Every player has his price, in any league, but we will always try to keep our best players. Our aim is to get into a position financially to hang on to them.” Edited June 1, 2013 by Monroe Transfer
