Howay 12496
Nice to see another negative story completely avoided by Ryder, he's chuffed to be back in the fold the brown nosing little tosser.

The Fish 10817
Just about to come post the same thing. Will this mounting bad-press from all types of media have any effect on the way Ashley runs his club? It's easy to say "No, he doesn't give a shit." but I think that's frivolous. StoneColdStephenIreland 74
At least the tides starting to turn from us being ungrateful, delusional Mags who demand Champions League football. Some of the media are actually looking into what has happened to the club instead of dismissing it as they usually would.

Happy Face 29
There's been tv shows about his sweatshops and protests and that before. He'll sit it out. I love to see the pressure though and genuinely believe it is more likely to encourage an increased bid where they'd previously walk away, or an alternative manager where they might previously settle for Carver. Happy Face 29
For a player or from a new owner? For a player Don't think he has any intention of walking away. Though, as with Pardew, the bad publicity would encourage that too. Problem is it would need a ridiculous Andy Carroll style over valuation of a bid to have him consider it. £400m+

Happy Face 29
NUFC hasn't cost him anything in 5 years and even by doing nothing whatsoever, the value of the asset goes up far more than the most generous interest rate would offer every 3 years when new TV deals are brought in. Don't see him selling up unless SD goes they way of Woolworths and HMV.

@yourservice 67
The Club has noted the Channel 4 'Dispatches' programme aired tonight (Monday, 27th April) and in particular the reference to the terms of the retail relationship between the Club and Sports Direct. The Club is extremely disappointed no-one from Channel 4 contacted the Club for comment. The information broadcast is wholly inaccurate and the Club will provide further information and clarification tomorrow (Tuesday, 28th April). http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20150427/newcastle-united-club-statement_2281670_4674095 Edited April 27, 2015 by @yourservice

trooper 940
Apparently there's 140 SD signs in St James Park the club doesn't get a single penny for them.
StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Love how they're straight out with a statement with it being about SD! If it was nufc we'd have to hear about it from one of Lee Ryders narks in the Chronicle.

Makom 0
"the change to our retail operating structure introduced in February 2013, which saw us partner with Sports Direct" What's that supposed to mean? What happened? I hope it only refers to contracts to operate/supply, rather than any Rangers style trademark chicanery. Not that it makes a difference while Ashley is here and owns both the club and SD, but it can obviously be used to make any future takeover more complicated than it needs to be.
