Howay 12496
Are they going to bother releasing our home top? or are we just going to play in the away one. They seem to do this every year now, we've all seen exactly what it looks like by the time they have an unveiling a week before they play in it, odd way of doing it iyam. They used to show the home kit last game of the season and then release it so bairns could have it on their hols but now they do it with the away kit, I'd have thought they would sell more home kits. McFaul 35
I remember in 1995, and this is an absolute fact. Our home strip was the joint best selling shirt in English football with Man Utd. 850,000 we sold in 8 weeks after it was released. We were the in team without a doubt, we were well marketed, the likes of plastic Tottenham, Chelsea and Man City were complete and utter nobodies, because they had shit support and little money, but the key thing was our shirt was fucking brilliant. The grandad collar, god I used to wear it for bed now and again at 17 I was that obsessed. Now we're left looking like complete and utter tramps, who change the top every single year. Man Utd don't. PUMA and Ashley make us look like no-mark tramps which is what this club has become, and is why after 700 games our 3-0 win against Cardiff in May is the last time I ever go to SJP. Well certainly while that fat bastard owns us. We're tramps, and these arseholes licking his arse "oh look at the £30m he's spent this summer :-D", we've generated £32m with Cabaye and Debuchy. The club is dead, and Pardew coming out with statements like the champions league is our target, really?!? You better ask Mike what the real target is. Scumbag club. TBF Man U do change their shirt every year. Although the grandad collar shirts were great (I still have both home and away) what sold them wasn't necessarily the design, it was the fact that the club had something to market: ambition and excitement. What do we have to market now? Finishing 8th-10th and playing reserves in the cup?

Monroe Transfer 0
There's other opinions because one of his points is factually incorrect - Man Utd do put out new kits every season. So does pretty much every other club going. I think the only ones who stray from this are clubs like Borussia Dortmund (I think?) who make their away kits from the previous season into their current third kits. Bictor 0
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth... can't see how there's any other opinions out there than this tbh. You're focusing on the wrong point 1) Our shirts aren't as good as they used to be 2) Our kit makes us look like tramps 3) We change our kit every year 4) Don't like PUMA 5) We only reinvest transfer money 6) Pardew aiming high even though our owner isn't willing the spend enough to consistently get us there I just don't feel like things such as how nice our shirt is (which is completely subjective), how often we change our kit and what company our kits are supplied by is something to get overly upset by. Is it not just kind of pathetic? Obviously it would be nice to have a kit which you personally liked, but I don't think I would give it more than two seconds thought. I didn't like the 2011/12 home kit but it was still the best season we've had for a long time. I'm not really sure how we look like tramps. Because of a Wonga logo on the front of our kit? Seriously, is it that much of an issue? When we we're beating Man U at Old Trafford last season I wasn't thinking "this would be so much better if we weren't sponsored by Wonga"... As already pointed out, every team changes their kit each year. Arsenal are the only team I can think of that don't, but that might change with Puma as the supplier. I'm pretty sure no one is licking Mike Ashley's arsehole. Obviously we're all desperate to have an owner that will spend millions on really improving the team, but it's not something that I'm going to protest about as if we're entitled for it to be that way. I accepted the fact that Ashley doesn't have the kind of ambition that allows us to really push on, about 3 years ago (how people still haven't come to grips with it yet is beyond me) but I don't get why people think that means we're meant to be apathetic and pessimistic. If people don't want to go to the ground and watch, that's perfectly fine. Personally, the owner's obvious lack of ambition/any other scumbag antics he's apart of, isn't going to stop me being enthusiastic, hopeful and optimistic about the club. Bictor 0
Everton spending 24 million There's some perspective for ya! 'Perspective' as in they're just reinvesting the money that they got from the Fellaini sale? Well, that's what you would be saying if it was us. Even forgetting how much money both teams have got from sales, we've spent about the same as them this window....What is this 'perspective' you speak of? That they're paupers who've been modestly spending for years and years, and now because of the money floating around in the league they can dwarf the record transfer fee of a club the size of ours. That perspective. Edited July 30, 2014 by ClubSpinDoctor
