Mike Ashley -- Irrelevant Cunt

Sports Direct spend very little on advertising anywhere so I'd be surprised if there's any money been paid specifically for just shirt or stadium rights.

They've probably paid or will pay yearly for the store location to sell SD goods, done them a good deal on the production and distribution of Oldham gear and the sponsorship comes as part of the deal.

If you look on Oldhams site they're building a massive new stand the money must have come from somewhere to finance that.

"On 28 July 2011 the council offered the club £5.7 million to help with their redevelopment fund of Boundary Park"

Cheers mate like Mr Gloves I wouldn't mind knowing what this is worth to Oldham sponsoring the shirts, taking over the club shop, renaming the ground. He hasn't bought the club (yet) but the talk is now the young 'uns will be sent there to develop them.

  • 2 weeks later...

So after years of trying to convince the SD investors that he should be getting a big bonus Mike Ashley finally gets his wish. And then tells them that he doesn't want it any more. Strange man.

Aye I read that and thought the same thing wonder what he's up to the bonus is worth in the region of £200 million very strange.

Ashley's decision to withdraw means Sports Direct's 3,000 full-time employees will be entitled to a bigger share of the windfall from the 25m shares. However, the vast majority of Sports Direct workers, mostly employed on zero-hours contracts, will get nothing. Around 90% of the company's 23,000 employees are employed on the controversial contracts, meaning they work unpredictable hours, with no sick pay, holiday pay, or entitlement to a bonus.

Never realised it was that high like.

Fucking criminal outside of December.

So this is going to be the week when Mike Ashley can rightly say he is getting the hang of this football lark.

European ties against the likes of Benfica in April

A transfer / wage system that works

A squad that just keeps getting better

Great season ticket deals for fans

And a profit making football club

And all this before the the big bucks TV money rolls in.

Of course it hasn't been delivered without pain, but few revolutions are smooth.

We will rightly hear all sorts of praise for dynamic duo this week and once again our club will be heralded as the blue print for most clubs to follow.

So where now? What about the next few years? How can we as a club take advantage of this solid foundation and become a regular top four challenger?

We just keep doing what we are doing, because we are replacing outgoing players with better quality incoming players, barring the odd want away players. Our squad is becoming stronger in quality. We aren't simply buying just to fill gaps with just any player.

The fat cunt could take it and build the club but he won't because his rule is "i never faakin do what peopuw teww me too.".

That is him to a tee. Bullied at school. If the fans of NUFC implored him to spend fuck all on players for 5 years, he'd spending £100m a season on players, nature of the beast. Clearly suffering from events in his childhood imo.

That's an average bonus of nearly £60k for the remaining employees. Crazy.

They have 500 stores worldwide, so I would expect that 2300 employees that are getting a bonus are only store managers and above.

If store managers are getting it, I wonder how they can look any of the zero hours twats they're exploiting in the eye.

I don't blame them, just saying I'd feel awkeward in that position.

"No, the company can't afford to employ you full time at £14k a year, now excuse me while I enjoy my £60k bonus. Yee Haw!!"

Would be worth getting a job at Sports Direct tbh. I would assume getting a manager job wouldn't be a huge challenge (yes, I sound like an arsehole because I am one).

See they're opening up shops in Australia and New Zealand now too. That fat bastard is certainly getting his money's worth out of his Barrack Road billboard.

Just flexing his muscles innit. Like a bully snatching some nerdy kids ice cream then dropping it on the floor in front of the poor wee fellas face.

You got another job yet, Fish. I could see you as part of Mike's empire. You had absolutely no qualms with talking old dears out of their life savings with your double glazing efforts. This is bang up your alley.

Not yet, but I didn't really start looking until the last week of June...

I may regret that

I'm too much of a tender soul to swindle people.
