They're there to protect the players and have massively failed. One player receives no punishment, the other lies in a hospital.

We end up having to play against 11 men instead of 10, with a team shaken after seeing their teammate stretchered, bleeding from the field.

I would also rather like them to charge Carver now, ban him and then everyone watch him just pitch up and take his usual seat come match day.

"match officials saw the coming together, though not the full extent of the challenge. In these circumstances retrospective action cannot be taken."

So they've admitted the linesman has seen it but technically hasn't seen the full extent (therefore cannot make an accurate judgment at that time) but still no action can be taken. Absolute joke.

Their own rules, that they made and that they have all the power to change

laziness. useless, impotent old men sitting on their arses enjoying their power and their salaries hoping to god no one expects them to actually do anything

Halsey said he never saw the incident. So now he's saying he never saw the full incident but his linesman did, sort of.

Absolutely invaluable to have you here interpreting events for us.

I'm predicting Tiote going out to put in a similar challenge on McManaman next season and then getting a 12 game ban for violent conduct from the FA.

Id like him to do it on wigans training pitch this week tbh
