Ignoring Ashley's policy, who would you have from the teams in the bottom 6*?

*I say 6 as I believe 10 points to be too big a margin for Noriwch to be dragged into it.

QPR - Noone*

Reading - Noone

Wigan - Noone

Aston Villa - Bent, Agbonlahor

Southampton - Clyne, Ramirez

Sunderland - Johnson, Sessegnon

* Jenas - to sit in an oversized fishbowl that gets brought out pre-match and at half-time.

Remy and Benteke look decent, not sure if I want the former though. Once bitten and all that.

Wouldn't mind Lefondre on the cheap, but I think that's more because I've been following his career because he used to make me money when he was lower down the leagues (anytime scorer).

Weimann, maybe?

Ward-Prowse and Shaw from Southampton have bags of promise.

and obviously Lee Cattermole

Sunderland -

Southampton - G.Ramirez, L.Shaw

Aston Villa - C.Benteke

Wigan -

Reading -

QPR - Samba (on a lower wage)

Benteke is probably the one I want the most of them, because we dearly need him.

Quite comfortably.

As debut premier league seasons go I'd say there wasnt much in it...Carroll had 11 goals by late January and 13 in 29 overall, Benteke has 12 with 9 games left having played 26.

We'll see. Benteke's stock is rising and if a top club fancies him theyd better get him before next summer's world cup. Same with Carroll in a way...if he makes the plane to Brazil and plays well..thing is I can't see him going back to Liverpool, but I can't see anyone paying him 80k a week either...

Wouldn't be desperate for anyone from any of those sides tbh. Or from Norwich or Stoke for that matter.

It really shows how we've underperformed for so much of this season when you can say that of the teams around and in some cases above you.

I would take Benteke but I do think he's been more than a touch overrated. He's looked awful on occasion (as well as looking good at other times) and I really don't think he's owt special. Would give us options though and we are woefully short up front.

Weiman would be ok on a Free.

Southampton have some promising youngsters but no doubt they'd be ridiculously overpriced even if they go down (something I don't see happening at the moment).

Weimann seemed to make a big difference when he came on against us, but they had been woeful and got a rocket up their arses for that second half when he came on fresh. Has he impressed as much in other games?

5 goals and 2 assists doesn't sound too promising....but then it is more difficult in a relegation bait side.

It's more his movement and the timing of his runs I've liked. He's only young isn't he?

QPR - Hoilett

Reading - McCleary (he can be electric - proper get to the byline and flash it across the 6 yard box winger), Kanu (if he keeps on improving the way he has in the past 2 seasons)

Wigan - Kone

Aston Villa - None

Southampton - Clyne, Ramirez, Lallana

Sunderland - Johnson, Mignolet (only if Krul left mind)

Good shout he could be in the next England squad. Hugely impressed with his performance in both games v us this season. Kicked Tiote up in the air a couple of times last month  Pardew knows him, we've been linked before but he's not French, his surname is Spanish...and they'll want 10mill+.

If we shift Tiote then it'd be well worth it imo. He'd be an upgrade on Marv (sorry Aeris, CT).

Benteke. People who say he is overrated are talking shite. Another Ba in the making for us

Completely forgot Benteke. He looks quality. The only reason Villa aren't bottom of the league this season.

QPR - Samba (only on much lower wages)

Reading - McCleary and Kanu

Wigan - Kone

Aston Villa - Benteke

Southampton - Clyne, Ramirez, Lallana, Scheniderlin, Rodriguez (bit of personal bias there but I think he could do a job) Jack Cork. I like southampton, good young squad

Sunderland - Mignolet (only if Krul left mind)

I've heard many crazy things today from the people who are so-called more knowledgeable than me, but sorry, lad, that idea and McCleary and Kanu take the prize....

This Benteke, I'm sorry like he's scored a few goals but I'll tell you now there's too much fuss being made of him. A Emile Heskey like career beckons imo.

I'd have Remy in a heart beat if QPR go down, I'd also have the rough diamond that is Taraabt.
