henda11 0 Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 I've been having a debate with this lad I knew in school, and he thinks a fan is a fan no matter what, whether they watch it at the stadium, pub or at home. My interpretation of a real fan is being there through thick and thin no matter what. I hate it when you get people turning up just because we are doing good, it boils my piss. Yes some people can't afford it, but what about those who can but are just to tight and would rather watch it in the pub and piss away £35 which would of paid for a ticket?. Does sitting on your arse in a pub or at home give the players any support?. I don't think so. I can understand it when hard working people, or supporters who live away can't make it, or people who can't afford it genuinely. I recall at the Chelsea match some chav scum bragging that he paid with his dole money, and got in with a kids ticket. What's your interpretation of a real fan?. That view did change as I went to less games and now none to the point where I think we're all in it together. There is still a part of me though that reacts to LM's shite about "3 years paid up" with a bit of the old view that Ive served my time so dont have to take that bollocks.
