south_cheshire_toon 0
OK, so we are at that time of the year again, as to whether we are looking up or (in this case) looking down. So with 13 games to go, my thoughts are we will do the following :- Tottenham (A) L Southampton (H) W Swansea (A) L Stoke (H) D Wigan (A) W Man City (A) L Fulham (H) W Mackems (H) W West Brom (A) D Liverpool (H) D West Ham (A) L QPR (A) W Arsenal (H) D Point Now 27 Gained 19 Total 46 And this will be just enough to stay up, with those going down only getting 43 or less. Kevin Carr's Gloves 3974
Yes we are in a relegation battle but I hope we won't go down, don't know who will but would love QPR and Villa to be two of them
mustyelbow 0
so in theory between 10 - 20 positions right now have a chance of going down? as there is only 3 points difference from 10 to us!
Anorthernsoul 1221
Still right amongst it, hopefully we can get a run of good performances going to move away from danger. Problem is there's also a couple of teams around us who are playing well at the minute. Southampton game this month is a must win.
Anorthernsoul 1221
Although I generally never mention it and just concentrate on the next game.

Dr Gloom 22156
we're not out of it but feeling much better about things after the lucky away win at villa and the convincing win against chelsea plus how well some of the newbies look, plus we're still due back tiote and ben arfa. so to upsum, no. i think we'll be ok. largely down to the new signings as we now have better strength in depth. if only they'd been signed in the summer we might have had another decent season! Brock Manson 0
Tottenham (A) D Southampton (H) W Swansea (A) W Stoke (H) W Wigan (A) W Man City (A) L Fulham (H) W Mackems (H) W West Brom (A) D Liverpool (H) D West Ham (A) W QPR (A) D Arsenal (H) L Point Now 27 Gained 25 Total 52 Which means we're going to end somewhere between 11. and 7. I'd go with this too. Ben Arfa coming back could well make us a formidable side. Can't wait to see how he'll link up with the other french players. Happy Face 29
Having just lost 10 in 13, only a Newcastle fan could predict we will only lose 2 in 15.
PaddockLad 17660
The op is a bit pessamistic iyam, but Aeris and Brock are in fantasy land...
loonyTOON 10
I'd go with this too. Ben Arfa coming back could well make us a formidable side. Can't wait to see how he'll link up with the other french players. I'm in two minds about him coming back. 1st - I can't wait like you said to see him link up. Our attacking force should be epic! But on the other hand, he either replaces Jonas or Gouffran who in the last two games, have been epic defensively too! So we'd be putting a luxury player in who is restricted defensively for a workhorse. I say take the risk and put him in - but it could go both ways. scoobos 298
I must be fickle, I think we are out the battle as soon as we won that 6 pointer over Reading, given the performance against Chelsea I cant see us dropping more points than QPR for example. A season of two halves would go down well for me, with us up in the top 6 by the end

sniffer 0
Only a complete idiot would think we are out of the relegation battle. Half the league are looking over their shoulders. In fact, if you look on RTG, they were saying they wouldn't mind losing to Reading if it put us in the shite as they thought they were safe. Amazing.
