loonyTOON 10
Tonight's game will now tell us what's going on. Cabaye withdrawn from squad = bye bye! Cabaye plays + goes over to fans after match = bye bye!
JonTheMag 4
I wouldn't be so sure - Arsenal have money to spend and desperately need to make a splash. It'll definitely be more than £10 mil
Happy Face 29
Everton release a statement calling bids they received from Manchester United for two players "derisory and insulting". The Toffees earlier rejected a £28m joint bid from United for Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini and England defender Leighton Baines. Everton's statement reads: "Everton can confirm that it has received bids from Manchester United for two players. Those bids were immediately rejected out of hand as derisory and insulting. The club did not make public these details as it was vital Roberto Martinez's preparations for the opening game of the Premier League season were not disrupted in anyway." Newcastle have no such concerns and have announced the offer as soon as possible in the hope of prompting a bidding war.
The Fish 10962
I'd expect a bid just south of £20m and for that to be rejected, and then for him to go for an improved offer closer to £25m.
Park Life 71
Won't be more than 12m.
Dr Gloom 22133
Nailed on to be sold just hours before the window closes, leaving us no time to get a replacement

Happy Face 29
We can afford not to blink on this one. The pressure from the fans for them to buy is huge, and they've got £180m sat in the bank. Tell them not to make any more offers unless they're going to pay £30m. Not that it will do us any fucking good whatsoever, Ashley still hasn't spent the £35m [/LM]
Happy Face 29
"Sky Sources" is us now? I'm surprised Pardew didn't call a press conference the way he's been putting him in the shop window.
Kid Dynamite 7165
Reported by the mail as £12mil. Needs to be at least £20mil. Look forward to the creative genius of Sissoko and Tiote in midfield now. Worth noting Cabaye was out second highest scorer last season too
Park Life 71
We won't accept 12m...It'll have to be near 20m.
Christmas Tree 4815
Caulkin Arsenal have made a bid of £10m for Yohan Cabaye. Dismissed as "derisory" by #Nufc and will be rejected if it hasn't already.

Tell them not to make any more offers unless they're going to pay £30m. This. Every man and their dog know that Arsenal are going to be after some premier league proven players now with such little time to settle into the season. Ashley should have Mr Wenger bent over one of them cannons outside their ground if they want to take Cabaye before the window shuts. Not that we'll see any of it ( the money, not the cannon action). Tooj 17
For all of the shit Cabaye gets who do people think that we could realistically attract to replace him that's of the same calibre?
Happy Face 29
Get the impression people think Tiote, Sissoko, Anita & Gosling will do and the money should go on a striker.

scotty84 0
I'd be using the money to buy Fellani and Baines and still have a few Bob left over to get some more Sports Direct signs up around the place....
Happy Face 29
Just no. I absolutely agree with you, but... Alan Pardew believes that Dan Gosling's performance at St Mirren last night proves that he is perfectly capable of doing a job this season http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alan-pardew-impressed-dan-goslings-5387228
