Yohan Cabaye

For me we were in a pretty shit position yesterday at the time he came on and we needed him to step up. Booing him wasn't going to inspire him in any way so for me it was stupid. I think he got more applause than he deserved because people wanted to react against the boos.

Pardews comments were quite interesting. From what he said it certainly suggests it wasn't the club who said he couldn't play, but possibly Cabaye never went as far as saying he wouldn't play. Perhaps Cabaye told him that his focus wasn't there and he made the decision not to play based on that.

Cabaye will have played the mentally not in the right place card, which in my opinion is as good as going on strike.

To be fair, I'd have accepted it for the City game, but not west ham....

If they're still attending, then by definition they're incapable of intelligent thought. So no great surprises that they're booing their own players onto the pitch.

Only the fella on strike and its a bit harsh to say all match goers are thick. Maybe they are more intelligent than you and know you have to experience the lows to fully appreciate the highs.

That kinda implies those staying away haven't experienced any lows and are baling out because the team isn't doing well which in my own case and a few I know in the same boat is complete horse shit, in fact I'd say they've witnessed a lot more shit than you yourself if you're under 30. (By the way, I'm not implying those going are more thick than those who are not, we've all got our own reasons and thresh holds).

He was injured. Didn't play for Liverpool until March.

He hadnt played for 4 weeks, transferred and there was a question over his knee or whatever. So it was mid-feb and 6 weeks since his last game before he was sorted. Too much of a coincidence for me that an injury preventing him from playing for a month for us could be resolved in a matter of weeks of a £35m transfer. If he played by March he was back in training by mid-feb. So he was basically fine within a week or two of the transfer. Bollocks tbh.

Only the dimwitted think there are anything but lows on the way, Phil. And only the dimwitted feel duty bound to continue experiencing them at Mr Ashley's pleasure.

That must make me thick, as I think without the Europa league we'll do quite well.

You're suggesting Liverpool made their biggest signing of all time sit out for five weeks (collecting a reported 400,000 pounds in that time not including sign on bonus) with a pretend injury? For what reason?

Back in training after 2 weeks. One week sorting himself out after the move. Not that implausible.
