sammynb 3508
Anyone watching? Watched Mali v Ghana today & currently halfway through DRC v Niger. Surprised at how poor the football is. Defender & strikers are weak, midfield play is reasonable. Good to see Lomano Tresor is still playing, still unpredictable but seems to have lost his pace. Ken 119
It's shite football, Sammy. I've sat there at 2:00am trying to get into it and have woken up at 6:00am halfway through the next game. The flair is gone and the noise of those fucking horns in a 3/4 empty stadium makes for a borefest. They've got some issues, Africa, namely the frequency of this nuisanse tournament above all else like corruption for example.
dbsweeney 0
I've got a mate at work from Zaire. Promised him I'll watch tomorrow's match against Nigeria. Since NUFC aren't playing this weekend, I see no harm. But is it really that bad?

Ken 119
You've got a reason to watch it which will ease the pain. Honestly, from what I've seen, the football is amateurish. Things hopefully will spark up soon.

Tooj 17
It seems all of the African teams have gone far too defensive these days.

I've already had most of a bottle of wine and a bloody mary ... I'd have been out like a light in the first five minutes.
sammynb 3508
It seems all of the African teams have gone far too defensive these days. It's all the french coaches & they see how much Essien is earning. Tooj, I saw this the other day after talking to HMHM about Toffs and thought it might appeal. http://www.toffs.com/Ghana-1980s-Retro-Shirt/productinfo/3601/

ohhh_yeah 2991
Cape Verde was able to win their first ever ACN match. Their coach is an air traffic controller when not with the national team. Seeing their passion below confirms why I fell in love with the beautiful game in the first place. http://youtu.be/jVW80TwcXVQ

Meenzer 15722
Second-best result of the day. After Zambia last year and now this, I'm thinking of only betting on the ACN in future.
