The next vaccine developed in Germany will be coming from Curevac and it looks like it will be approved in the next couple of months depending on the data including new mutants.

Curevac are in a partnership with Bayer and received huge funding from the Gernan government. I wouldn’t be happy with any “Germans first” approach though.

If your government funded it then of course you should have it first. The U.K. helped fund the AZ and spent fuckloads on lots of vaccines, many of which have yet to come to fruition. ‘No one is safe until everyone is safe’ is very much a valid maxim but you have to look after your own people first. The EU were slower to sign certain deals with every nation having to sign off on it. It’s isn’t a benefit of having left the EU though, it’s something we could and would have done as a member of the EU.

The dates of the deals aren’t that much of a problem but the shortage of available vaccines worldwide. It’s even more of a problem if certain nations don’t export.

I have no problem to wait to get vaccinated because of people more at risk in other nations needing it first.

Having said that there is a lot to be criticised about the handling of the pandemic right now. There is a lack of a much needed common approach to stop the spreading of the virus with a new wave approaching and the risk of further mutations.

The vaccination role out here in Germany is shambolic too. It’s lacking any “planning     who could have thought that you need a plan to get people vaccinated as quickly as possible as soon as vaccines got available.

Is there any what they could vaporise the vaccine? Then it could be administered as a gas. Then you could set up mass “vaccine” centres where millions of people could be “vaccinated”. You could transport people there in special transport trains. And vaccinate hundreds at a time in special “vaccination” chambers. Could the Germans organise that?

I’m not sure what you’re trying achieve with this post other than being a total fucking arsehole?

The very simplistic ;) version as time is precious.

We have a bespoke deal (that the PM has talked about), that allows us to form a new customs union with the EU. Turkey has one and there are no barriers on products except agriculture. Ours would include agriculture.

This is why it’s pointless discussing Ireland because this scenario would continue with no border.

This is what will happen and how the Ireland issue will be resolved.

Yes, it’s that time of the week again.

This from Gove:

"“There are some cuts of the animal that are hugely popular with the British consumer, others a little less. But some of those cuts are hugely popular elsewhere, say, for example, pigs’ ears are a delicacy in China.”He said Britain has not been “as successful as we might have been at selling pigs’ ears to China [because] EU rules dictate that pigs, like all livestock, have ear tags.”“Unpierced pigs’ ears are worth more. We will have a fair, competitive advantage – we can sell more pigs’ ears to China and that means there can be more bacon and pork and ham from the other joints of the animal that are popularly sold here.“So by selling more sows’ ears to China we can buy more silk purses for British farmers"

Aye, it’s played out well licking Trump’s arse. We’ve managed to simultaneously piss off the Americans, the EU and the Chinese.

 Sorry, I just felt like saying no because you’d been looking for a bit of political debate over the weekend and no one was playing out.

I think most working class brexiteers really don’t believe in or out is going to make much difference to them.

As for the border, why would a few traffic cameras lead to violence? I honestly don’t appreciate why your peers are going to take up arms because a few customs cameras are there.

In my little town tonight the Loyalists are literally on the streets lobbing petrol bombs at cars because of the Irish Sea border. Yet it likely won’t even make the local news.
