Renton 21983
Ok, can't find the original article but this covers it. It was the treasures own "worst case scenario" not the Bank of England. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/05/23/eu-facts-would-a-vote-to-leave-the-eu-really-plunge-britain-into/ Don't forget to read the full article rather than your usual skim I've read the article and it doesn't cover it at all, nor is it that an unbiased source. Yet more Brexit lies.

"In the shock scenario, the recession is about as mild as possible". The source is the treasury. Btw, and I'm not saying I know a great deal about this, but does TTIP killing off the NHS not worry you if we stay in Europe?

Christmas Tree 4821
Like Johnson won't sign that. (Might be a separate equivalent treaty but the idea is still ludicrous). First of all I think Boris has missed his chance of ever becoming PM. Secondly, by the time the UK got round to doing its own version of TTIP, Labour could be the government. If we leave, then I'm pretty sure protecting the NHS, particularly via TTIP, would need to be ingrained in any party's manifesto that wanted to win. Staying in the EU means we probably will have no way to prevent it happening. (If I understand it correctly).

Btw, and I'm not saying I know a great deal about this, but does TTIP killing off the NHS not worry you if we stay in Europe? That was the least bad scenario, and anyway, hasn't been taken verbatim from the report. I'm not going to take the Telegraphs second hand reporting as reliable. It's amazing out of all the economic forecasts available from the world's leading economic groups this is what you think is going to happen. Brexit cherry picking at its best, distort the best case forecast of a report and ignore everything else. Pure idiocy. As for TTIP and the NHS, I'm honest enough to say I don't know enough about it at the moment. Are you? What I do know though is that I wouldn't trust the NHS to survive a year with the Brexit cunts in charge. Every medical society is Remain. Every medical union is. Who do you trust? My point is pretty clear and isn't about Boris. In --- We're getting TTIP Out --- It will be up to a future, possibly Labour, government to decide. Bear in mind that pretty much all the EU has some kind of socialised health care system and will not be wanting to lose these. You know full well we're not getting a labour government for a decade or more btw. And if we're out of the EU, I think we'll be desperate for trade deals with the US which will likely be on worse terms than TTIP.

Rayvin 5295
Woah hang on, I thought the French temporarily scuppered TTIP. It's on the ropes apparently. Not because we did anything, but because the French kicked it into touch. So actually CT, the EU may well be saving out bacon on that one. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/may/03/doubts-rise-over-ttip-as-france-threatens-to-block-eu-us-deal Edited June 17, 2016 by Rayvin

As I said to you three or four posts back, I don't know a great deal about it or its effects on the NHS other than what I have read tonight. That includes the leaked documents green peace have, Unites position on it making privatisation more likely and legally irreversible, Lord Owens comments on it, and that a member of the EU and a US TTIP representative would oversee it. This is why I asked your opinion on it.

Rayvin 5295
I can't link to it cos I'm on my phone but marina Hyde has just put out an excellent article in the Guardian concerning Nigel Farage and his ascendency to the political crown we're about to give him... Rayvin 5295
Washington has now released a statement setting out that the US ties to Britain will cool significantly if brexit occurs, given that our value to them is as a bridge into Europe. They have expressed deep concern about the developments and the weakening of a key ally (The EU). I know you don't care CT, but honestly, this is going to be a monumental fuck up. It's about wine labelling and stopping geographical names like champagne, Chianti etc. The French will rightly put themselves first. At least if we are out, you get the chance to vote for a party who will protect the NHS when a uk / TTIP type deal comes along. As it stands, you have no say.
