IDS has claimed that Ireland are taking a tough stance because there’s a presidential election coming up. The Tories are entirely clueless.

He's currently re-iterating it again on LBC. The presidential election in Ireland isn't political.

It's 'just' a head of state / ceremonial position isn't with the Prime Minister being the leader of the government?

David Davis, negotiating genius

Fifty billion quid for a worse trade deal than we've got. Comes with the potential for a free Irish insurrection, Scottish independence, and poisoned international relationships for a generation.

Bargain.

DUP saying they’ll pull the deal with the Tories if we get any special treatment. Shows what a pack of cunts they were that they will not consider any arrangement that would be of incredible benefit to NI in giving us a massive advantage in trade over the rest of the U.K.

Aye, and I've seen polls that the large majority of the publicin NI would support such measures, even in protestant areas.

If it did happen of course, Scotland would rightfully kick off big style.

There is literally no good solutions now Cameron has opened Pandora's box. We can't go back, and all the options forward are different degrees of worse. I'm just hoping for a EFTA/EEA Brexit. Which is surely the democratic solution, a natural compromise considering the closeness of the referendum.

There won't be any real Brexit nobody in either establishment wants it (EU or us). You can see the ferocious back peddling from our side already. They just need to find something they can sell to the masses.

Plus I don’t recall much talk during the referendum of us leaving the single market and customs union.
