There is surely no way that the government is going to sign off on yet more economic turbulence man

I don't know. You're talking about a government that seems more interested in creating friction with the EU than actually governing.

Aye, it's like they and their media cohorts have lost the fucking plot. Look at Gove's coke inspired performance yesterday, look at some of the extreme rhetoric gushing from Patel's vile gob. I know this is red meat to the converted but it's not going to win them an election. Almost feels they are going to try and operate a scorched Earth policy here.

why do they think they're in a position of strength to re-negotiate their own oven ready deal?

dunt is spot on in his latest analysis. it's a cynical move designed to reignite the brexit culture war - an electoral play designed to reopen old scars and create a dividing line between johnson and starmer in a bid to cling on to the clueless red wall voters

And yet it's clear as day, including recent polling in the next by-election (tractor porn),  they are losing the blue wall big style.

Good read from Dunt that. Knows his oignons.

The likes of the Daily Hate, Express and the Sun do probably already have lot of war-themed front pages in store to keep the government and little Englanders happy.

Anyway, all we hear nowadays is the doom and gloom about Brexit. What about the upsides? These are the TOP NINE (presumably they couldn't think of ten) ideas selected by Jacob Rees Mogg's department to finally show what we can do now that we've thrown off the shackles of the EU.

Quote

1. Encourage fracking, shortcut rules on planning consultation via emergency act.
2. Abolish the EU regulations that restrict vacuum cleaner power to 1400 watts.
3. Remove precautionary principle restrictions (for instance) on early use of experimental treatments for seriously ill patients and GM crops.
4. Abolish rules around the size of vans that need an operator's licence.
5. Abolish EU limits on electrical power levels of electrically assisted pedal cycles.
6. Allow certain medical professionals, such as pharmacists and paramedics, to qualify in three years.
7. Remove requirements for agency workers to have all the attributes of a permanent employee.
8. Simplify the calculation of holiday pay (eg 12.07 percent of pay) to make it easier for businesses to operate.
9. Reduce requirements for businesses to conduct fixed wire testing and portable application testing.

I'm sure all agency workers will be thrilled, thrilled I tell you, to not have all the 'attributes of a permanent employee', especially in these times. What a fucking cunt.

How much of a cunt is Grant Shapps? This airline crisis, people unable to get back the UK and that wankstain says he’ll do anything he can to help, but employing people from overseas is not the answer.

Daren’t fucking admit it, dare they?

Fuck me, the amount of policy change this lot are trying to sneak in stealthily is criminally appalling.

This is anything but stealthy. It will be deliberately noisy. Any tory not backing this (illegal) bill will be branded a rebel and have the whip removed.

Mind, thinking about it, if the rebels organised themselves, they could vote against and have the whip taken away from all of them. Then Johnson would have a minority and the government would fall. They won't though, they will toe the line and UK becomes an international pariah.

Well according to the ‘Great Gemmill’ the rebel MPs are planning to vote against the NI bill. The problem is that they’re a bunch of separate factions so coordinating such action could be difficult.

A lot of the rebels are massive Brexiter cunts, whatever Rees-Mogg says. And there will be less than a handful willing to lose the whip. And this is how it will play for the near future.

That's a nice nickname, thank you.
