Oh hey, @Christmas Tree

If you told me that the sky was blue I'd have to look out the window to check.

Jesus, the European Commission has said it’s not legally binding, the British prime minister has said its not legally binding..... What part of “not legally binding” do you not understand?

I think if I was going to counter this point, CT, I would ask this:

If everything you said is true, why isn't the government singing about it from the rooftops? Who is actually saying any of that stuff? Apart from you.

It’s the governments stated Brexit position throughout. Feel free to answer the question the others on here can’t ;)

Not only the NI border, but also the 40 billion will be paid irrespective of any trade deal. This is hardly surprising, phase one was never negotiable and had to be fulfilled before negotiations even began. As I pointed out months ago.

The government doesn't gave any clear Brexit position. In fact Hammond has clearly stated the cabinet have never even discussed it. But I'm sure you know this already.

You said it wasn't set in stone. The EU insists it is. And because your lot can't be trusted they're making sure it's included in legislation.

It’s not set in stone, it’s not legally binding, it’s dependent on a trade deal

Now Davis has pissed off the EU so much that they're ruling out any early trade talks so it looks like March will be the earliest they will consider them.

The deal that Davis hopes to get, CETA, is fucking hopeless anyway. It doesn't include services.

It's not. Davis has backed down today and agreed to legislate it. Honestly, are you in touch with the news?

Have another go at the question you’ve bottled then ;)

Laugh all you want tubs. The chancellor of the exchequer and the EU agree with me. We have agreed we owe this money. If we don't pay, we will suffer devastating reputational damage.

 I should charge you for your political training.

It only goes into legislation AFTER the trade deal has been agreed approx October 2018. Keep up.

Davis today:

"David Davis✔@DavidDavisMP

Pleasure, as ever, to speak to my friend @guyverhofstadt - we both agreed on the importance of the Joint Report. Let's work together to get it converted into legal text as soon as possible."

So we’re going to have a trade deal wrapped up in seven months?

I've answered that many times, with loads of supporting evidence. All on this thread. Meanwhile all we get from you is logical fallacies on the burden of proof and shut loads of whataboutery. It's up to you to evidence your own claims, not for me to disprove them when you haven't even evidenced them in the first place.
