Surely it would reduce the stress on UK armed forces around the world by committing the forces of other nations to projects in which we're already involved? Tut tut, I said “bent over backwards to get the deal done this week”. They have been much more positive about trying to get it nailed down rather than letting it drag til after Xmas. I still thing Br in any meaningful sense won't happen. In fact once reciprocated free movement/domicile rights are granted for current citizens living around the EU a reduced form of free movement will continue as well. This ten year transitional deal will utterly fuck the conservatives. By the time it's over, the millenials will get us back in the EU lock, stock, and barrel. Meanwhile, Brexit occurred just as wages were beginning to recover from the 2008 crash. Only Greece and Portugal have fared worse than us in living standards.
